Does anyone have any instructions for compiling PS on Windows?  What should I use, MinGW?  CygWin?

Well after playing some more I noticed the mouse sensitivity worked sometimes, but not always.  Some very high settings for mouse sensitivity also seem to slow the mouse down.

Anyway, thanks for the replies.  I\'ll just try to play the game :)

The server itself might not be the problem, but the connection to the server.  I tried pinging the server planeshift.fragnetics.com, and it gave a packet loss of 60%, so it\'s really a miracle it even works.

By the way, is there an in-game way of viewing connection stats, like there is for framerate?  This might give some more accurate values.

I tried a couple of different values (1, 5, 10, 100) but nothing changed.  What client are you using?  I\'m using Molecular Blue for Windows, v 0.2.010.

I assume mouse sensitivity is controlled by the Crystal Space engine and not PlaneShift directly, but there was no mention at all of mouse sensitivity on the CS website.  Perhaps this is yet to be implemented.

Hi all, I just downloaded Planeshift (Windows client) and one annoying thing is the mouse sensitivity.  Now in the FAQ for this forum there is a suggestion to change it, but it doesn\'t seem to do anything.  Is this normal?  I realize this is a game in progress, but OTOH it\'s a bit silly to post an answer in a FAQ which would only apply to future versions...

Also, there is a comment line which says the mouse sensitivity setting only applies to the MSDOS version.  I don\'t really know what to make of this.

Now this all sounds nice in theory, but how will you get a decent server for free?  I understand it\'s easy to write free software, but there isn\'t such a thing as free hardware or free bandwidth, or am I wrong?

The reason I mention this is because I just downloaded the game and the lag was really terrible.  I can imagine this will only get worse as more and more people play this game.

But otherwise: a very promising game!
