Yes I did get most of the inspiration from Wow which I was playing at the time. And I did actually make a version with a quicklaunch bar.

Well I haven\'t been around in a while because my computer died, but now I finally have a new one. Unfortunately all my work on the gui was lost because like and idiot I didn\'t backup my files and so it was all lost when my computer gave up.

I didn\'t really like where the concept was going anyways.  I tried too hard to base it around the PS crystal and it wasted space and made the gui larger than it had to be. My newest concept is much more minimalistic but not PS themed.

Haha sorry but how can a guild be secret if it is posted clearly on Kada\'s list?

You prob don\'t see that many members of the guilds of the realm in-game because unlike the newer guilds they don\'t just accept every newb that comes along into the guild.

And the CV is not set up in game, or atleast not that I know of, so you have to know who the members are in order to spot them.

Edit: And if you think Kada\'s list is out of date, you can always look at the new guild list Aendar has set up, which is stickied at the top of the guilds forum.

Well I started working again on putting this skin in-game and it is actually coming along really well so far. I redid it quite a bit.

Changes:
- The main crystal is now behind the HP/Mana/etc. bars instead of infront so that way you can see all of the bars.
- I took away the target crystal and border because  I can\'t make it only appear when somone is targeted.
- I changed the font colors to white so they are more visible.
- I found a way to make the HP/Mana/etc. bars to look beveled so they aren\'t flat.
- Changed the Stamina to only PsyStamina and changed its color becuase I Personally don\'t use the MenStamina but if I put this up for download when its down I will fix it to display both.
- I also added a custom cursor.

I haven\'t added spell power or attack stance yet since I personlly never use them, but I will add them soon. And I will also make progression points visible.

Well that\'s it for now. I\'m leaving on Friday and won\'t be back for a week after, and when I get back I will have a few days until I start school again so I will work hard to get some more things done before I leave because after Friday I won\'t have time to work on it for a while.

Lol yea I think the Devs should just put their foot down and wipe the whole thing and just let the oldbies have their rings of the past so their can prove they were there way back when as they like to do. This community is so divided on every issue. I kinda feel bad for the Devs they ca\'t do anything with out a fight. People should respect the Devs decisions since they are the ones making the game and not fight them on everything they do.

Yes that is true but the bugs in MB would let you walk through or climb walls and stuff like that which aren\'t really things that would give people unfair advantages. And there was no skills to earn so you there wasn\'t any bugs that could give you an advantage with those, like a quest you could do over and over. And in CB I think there was also a problem that allowed people to spawn items. So MB\'s wipe was only because of the server change and the new version. CB\'s wipe is because of cheating and unfair advantage caused to bugs etc.

I\'m sure there will be more wipe in the future that will allow migrations. It all depends on the reason for the wipe.

And yea its not that big of an advantage so people not around in MB don\'t have to worry. They can catch up. It is just a reward for those who have been around since MB and had to spend countless hours looking for crystals.

And the point is it isn\'t really unfair. We worked for those few thousand tria. And yea it sucks that all the time in CB is lost but we are loosing the time we spent in CB too.

Us MB\'ers were allowed to migrate our players and any crystals or itmes we owned was converted to tria. It was to reward us for all the time we had spent crystal hunting. People didn\'t want all that time to be a waste. So was it fair? Yes it was.

Now that CB is being wiped we are being allowed to start again with what we were given from the MB migration because  we had recieved that fairly.

Nothing gained in CB is being migrated because the point of the migration is to fix the unfair advatnages some bugs etc. caused in CB. To migrate those things would give no point to the wipe.

If you werent here in MB then tough luck. You should have found Planeshift sooner like the rest of us.

So fair? Yes I think it is.

Well it\'s a great guild because they actually took time to think it out and write stuff up for it, but I can\'t get past having dragons in the guild. And yes even though they don\'t exist in PS and they can be brought in as a guild myth, but then where do we draw the line. If we let this guild bring dragons into the game even if it is just a myth, it might start a trend. And we have witnessed how out of the Planeshift world the guilds can be, metal militia for example(no affense it\'s the first one that comes to mind). Next we could have the Werewolf\'s Guild or The Vampyre\'s Coven(I know the idea of vampires have been brought up before).  If we let them justify dragons with a myth then when the next guild comes along that wants to bring something that doesn\'t belong in PS to the world of Yliakum, we will have to let them have their myth too. This is just my worry. You can try to ignore the DC if you don\'t like the fact that they are hurting the RP of Planeshift but when they get so popular as the DC has, then it is hard to ignore them because they make up an important part of the Planeshift world.

Ok well I have pretty much given up on actually putting the GUI in-game, and so for now  it will remain nothing more than a concept.

Here is the latest concept. I cleaned it up a lot. I redid all the borders, beveled the status bars, and redid the crystal to try and make it look more dimensional and \"crystal-like\". I also completely redid the chatwindow.

If you read Karsier\'s post it says he wasn\'t attacking Rioth because he admitted to using the potions. And BTW there are atleast 162 other DC members that can defend the guild. Don\'t leave all the responsibilty to the leader.

Maybe next time your guilds should establish some basic rules before having a war.

I like the idea, though I agree it shouldn\'t be a priority. I think instead of just small bathrooms there should be bath houses like in Ancient Rome. That way it can actually serve a purpose more than AFK and be a place for communication, and bathing ofcourse.

I don\'t really know what I\'m doing with the xml part but so far it\'s going well. The only problem I have had is that the images turn out looking strange in game.

Well I figured out the scale of the x and y postioning the GUI uses. It goes by 1 pixel in 800x600 windowed. So now the positioning, which I was having the most trouble with, should be pretty easy if I design it in 800x600 windowed. Also I won\'t have to load the game as many times.

@Shooree: For the toolbar, I\'ll put it in as the big size and then I\'ll make it resizable so it can be shrunk and moved under the infowindow.

@Aldaron: I will see about adding it. Thanks for the code too. Yea I was hoping that the target info could pop up only when you have one but Planeshift limits what I can do with the GUI so I don\'t think that will be possible as of now. If I acrually get my GUI working I will definately put it up for download.

Yea the xml is going to be really tough though the biggest problem I\'m having with it so far is positioning the parts like HP&Mana bars, text, etc. But your have a good point that Planehsift doesn\'t let you split up or combine anything. That\'s  a really good idea though about making the info window really wide. I guess I\'ll have to see if I can get this to work.

I made some more adjustments. Made it simpler so it takes up a little less room. I added a new FPS and time box and redid the chatbox.

Edit: I just redid all the borders and added a toolbar(the buttons are temp) with a row of quicklaunch slots.

And remember you can make anything as transparent as you wish. Also the PS GUI lets you make anthing resizable and/or movable. You can also change the colors of the Hp/Mana/etc. bars to anything you want and you can change the text to whatever font you want.
