It\'s been a quite long time since last visited the region, and nothing has changed :->

About smoking, technically, it does not provoke cancer. It helps it appearing. If you do not have a genetic tendence to cancer (and that happens) you won\'t have cancer by smoking. However, it is still bad for you in other ways. And it does stink. It also has good effects (or people wouldn\'t do it) as helping brain activity, and removing stress.
Moreover, it is absolutely irrefutable that living provokes death. That won\'t stop us loving life, would it?

About language, I have to agree more with Kiern. Freedom is a wonderful thing, but it also carries a heavy responsability. Freedom asks for respect. In the real world, respect is less and less present; in the online worlds, it is almost unexistant in too many cases.
I can not see a good reason to play a role-playing game when you do not want to role-play. When you are in Yliakum, it is not you, human computer user, who is there, it is some other character you are animating. It has not your cultural background, maybe not even your personality. However, you created it. Now, play the game, or leave.

I hate freedom limitations. But this is about a different freedom. The freedom to be an Yliakum unhabitant, and not a teleported Earth unhabitant lost in Yliakum.

The only thing I really know about the war is that media always lie in these situations.
So every little fact you hear about Iraq from now can be false. Never forget that.

In other parts of the world (outside UK/Europe) where English is spoken frequently, it is not \"colour\", it is \"color\".

Do not generalize too much.
But you are right in some way: there are two internationally recognized ways to spell english: US and UK.
There are many examples of this, like \'colour/color\', \'fulfil/fulfill\', or \'foetus/fetus\'.

The cause is that many american colons of the beginning were illetrate.

The consequence is that many students of english all over the world are confused and write hybrid US/UK texts, so they have bad marks and they dislike english more and more.

You know, this is quite funny, because in spanish, a \'manta\' is someone who is very bad in everything he does. That is a really strange choice for a name :->

Well, I don\'t know a lot of all that, but I have heard many things about European division, etc.
The point is that I have read the famous letter wrote by 8 european leaders. I have heard what Chirac saids about Irak. And, when you pass through all US-ass licking on the letter, you have the same message than Chirac\'s: \"We want to wait for the UN conclusions, and try to avoid the war by all ways possible. If it\'s unavoidable, then we\'ll be there.\"
Apparently, the media really want to create ennemies where there are just differences of style.

Anyway, I personnally am against wars, but I reckon that one would be the easiest way to end with the mess started with that gulf war. The problem is that I by now have heard nothing about the post-war Irak situation: the kurd problem, a new democracy imposed to a broken people, etc. It\'s not that easy to remove a dictatorship if the country is not ready.

I have just read everything down now, and I theoritically agree with some people about things going too far and the need to stop them (I can remember some too long threads this summer, it\'s often hard to stop argumentations...).
But then I read the three candidates to deletion. I can\'t agree. I don\'t really see any problem with them, they\'re perhaps not about the game, but they can be interesting for the community, or a part of it. Anyway, they\'re not aggressive or anything. People should be able to decide if they want to read it or not. The only way post-deletion can be accepted is for freeing space disk on the server, and I don\'t think it is a major problem.
So, I definitively vote against censorship, and support the motion for an off-topic forum, just to improve the organisation.

Well, that\'s why I have so many troubles with it. I know it\'s fundamentally paradoxal, an archist guild. I prefer \'community\' for the apelation, but it is not me who choose.
Anyway, the idea is a team work with no hierarchies at all. You do what you think you have to, but you are judged every time by the complete guild... so you have better to act right. Mmm... hard to explain...

I like the idea of the normal chat just shown over the speaker.
For the chat activation, I think enter is the best solution. But I like very much those \'pre-written sentences\' on the F1-F12. So, I was thinking, you could have, for example \'I\' to open the inventory; and, if you are typing at that moment, just CTRL+I should do the same. In other words, every game command could have an alias being the same letter plus CTRL, which would be the only way to keyborad-reach it when you are chatting.

And beware of the special keys like @ or ~, they can be easy to reach in an english keyboard, but not in averyone. for example, to type ~ in a spanish keyboard, you have to do: ALT+\'126\'.

It\'s funny to see french people trying to speak any other language too... :)) (I am a spanish living in France, and I often have to listen to frenchies trying to speak spanish...  generally ridiculous)

I have to agree with Link that  this is sure not the best place to start conversations in other language than english, because it is the only language that every one here can speak...

If many french players are around, someone should create a fan site all in french, I think that would be smarter.

Yeah Kada... I was wondering... on your next update, could you change Los Otros leader name from mine to something like \'/\' or \'-\'?
Because it doesn\'t sound very serious, an anarchist community with a leader... It\'s not very problematic now since I am the only member, but perhaps one day I\'ll get a second one, and then it will be unfair to have just my name.

Thank you:D

There are the anarchists too, but you probably won\'t like us... No one does.

Not hard to agree with something so logical... well, that means I agree too.
Generally, it is what the majority of people think that determines the accepted thing (and here, your alignment). But what is really important is what you feel. If you feel you are doing good, you probably are.

I don\'t think they\'re \'good\'; they\'re just \'ennemies of the evil ones\', which is far from being the same. In fact they are quite close to be evil too, as I have already posted.

I just love this place... just be away for some days and a new specimen is on.
Well, I just have to say that I have always hated fanatics, claim they to be good or evil; they turn generally to do evil things in the name of their ideas.
I agree with cthulu Los Otros is a fake guild. A guild is an organisation which goal is to rule something (merchant\'s guild, breeder\'s guild, etc.). Then how can there be an anarchist guild? It is just so paradoxal. A better term is \'community\'. That is why I use to use it better.
Just one last thing: Cthulu is, if I am not wrong, one of the elder gods created by Lovecraft. None of those are evil nor good, they are just theirselves; they are more like great powerful monsters prayed by a few, but who would cause the destruction of the humankind if they were awaken again...

Your first link is still messed up.
And I think it is a link to the forums, not the site.
But the .tk works fine. And the new template looks really fine to me.
