I like both, they are quite different. I usually play some PnP with my friends on the weekends (Exalted, pretty fun system) and when I\'m alone I play mmo\'s. I like the fact that the other characters are controlled by players, gives a better roleplay ambient (unless they are annoying... and keep saying things like \"STFU! Giv money to me u *** u hav a lot of money I want free stuff, heal me, plz gimme money\") since it is easier to visualize what the GM/dev wanted to show. Sometimes it is very hard to understand what the hell the DM means... specially when he tries to draw it and you still can\'t understand. MMOs are massive, PnP is more private, I like both  but I believe I like MMOs better. One fact that kinda ruins PnP is when the DM has to talk with a particular player and you stay there waiting with nothing to do. That doesn\'t happen in MMOs.
I was playing Guild Wars, for example, the fast-paced action combined with interesting quests were a lot of fun. I guess it pretty much varies from player to player. I have to agree that PnP gives almost unlimited freedom, which is probably one of the best things about it.

Ooookkk.... the site is just a forum, pretty desorganized in my opinion. What is your guild purpose? What is it alignment? What are it\'s divisions? I haven\'t seen none of this on the website. I advice you to reformulate it.

I don\'t know... There are already many annoying players around planeshift... A preview at such an early version is suicide. Anyway, I\'m confident that PS development will increase a lot after cb release, since there are, as far as I know, many developers aplications that are just waiting for cb release to be revised.
I told some friends, but they are really not interested, at least as long as it remains in MB. I guess it happens with a lot of people.

There are some pretty big guilds right now, but that doesn\'t mean people will envy them or anything. Players will only have a chance to truly develop their guilds and characters once cb is out. And since most of the older members are well stablished in their guilds, no reason for a major swapping. And let\'s face it, there is no in-game reason for that guild existence. What would be it\'s alignment? It\'s purpose? See what I mean?
If you really want to be in a guild that people envy, why not join one that has a in-game purpose and work hard? Better yet, roleplay =)
There is The Mercenary Guild, if you want to roleplay a mercenary. There is the Mirth if you want to roleplay a good aligned character. There are many others, you just have to see what will fit better in what you want.

PS: Sorry for the poor english.

Loss of profit since we will be getting less, but it is not like we are losing our money, we are making less. Stop trying to confuse everyone, both of you XD (j/k)

People are applying, but seems that the devs want to release cb and then get the new developers. Sounds good since putting someone in the middle of a project without proper time to explain everything and without proper time for the person to get around the code/art.
I know I would not want to be put in the middle/end of a project unless I had all the details.

The last time I played Planeshift I was using:

Pentium 4   2.6gHz FSB800
1024mb DDR 400mhz ram
GeForce 4 Ti 4800SE
ADSL 256/128kbps

I did not notice any lag at all, but I can\'t remember the fps.

Yes, he could have swalloed it, interesting since only a few monsters would have the money with them. And it should only be obtained if the player opened the monsters belly or something like that. Makes more sense than monsters dropping gold and all...

Hey, the more, the merrier :D
I always enjoyed playing around with all the varieties of emoticons/animations, it is a pitty that many mmorpgs don\'t give them any importance =/ or they just make lame ones =P
Definetly a good idea to incentivate roleplay.

Dwarfs should also have a special sitting skill. Their head flattens and then anyone can take a sit! =D

Serious now, I like the idea, although it will definetly need some good balancing. Can\'t compensate one race with a lame skill and another with a useful one. Perhaps later in CB? Up to the devs.

Prolonged nights for RP... Yeah, seems pretty good. Although, since I don\'t know how the world will look at cb during the night I can\'t really tell how good it will be. A game that is dark for hours can be significantly annoying. Unless we had torches. And pitchforks. And some bad-looking monster/person to hunt. Hmm, roleplay =D
Anyway, maybe not something too long. Perhaps two RL hours for a full day cicle? So one hour would be night and the other would be day. I like the idea of the day beginning with sunrise, but that would demand the planet to be british (aka: right on time lol :)). Seems interesting, I like games where time is worked properly, gives a deeper gaming experience.

Agreed.
Seems really weird to have a wolf dropping money (*cof*lineage*cof*).

Exactly. Nothing should stop a person with low dextery from firing a bow, but he could suffer some penalties because of the lack of the atribute (been playing Exalted all day long lol). After all, if a person can, for example, fire an arrow with a simple wooden bow, why would the person be unable to do so with a \"Magic Iron Dwarven Bow\" (Enclave  )? No point in that.
