Technical Help: IN GAME bugs (after loading world) /
« on: December 24, 2004, 11:21:53 pm »
Anyway, you should look in your Device manager to see what kind of a grafic card you have installed.  Then you should look at the manufacturers web site under support to find the latest driver.  Install, reboot and pray.

Is this game using Direct X?  No, probably not, but perhaps you could run DXDIAG to see if it reports any problems?

Just \"Start\"-> \"Run\" -> DXDIAG.

Yup, it\'s in the topic \"help\", you should have noticed! ;)

Seriously: That\'s just ONE of all reasons for giving good topic names.

Or you could re-assign the keys in the options menu.

Lots of bugs, I\'ll make a list of MY experienced bugs:

- Crash upon clicking \"Options\".
- Crash when clicking the scroll bar for the pane for Buy, etc..

More to come as I stumble upon them bugs!

- Crash when loading new map transition to \"hole in big brown temple\" thingy.

I do have logs of these bugs, just provide me with an e-mail address if they are interresting.

The option pane displayed, then crash.

Provide a mailaddress to receive log file, I have too many accounts around already around to register \"just one more place\".

I have, you never heard of Arx Fatalis? Has the same system, allthough there you can also choose between full-mouselook (no holding of buttons to look around) or the one you described.

I find that it works very good and would like to see such a system incorporated in PlaneShift aswell.

That would be lovely!  The system as it is now really sucks...

But, the game is FAR from finished.  :)

Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game /
« on: October 11, 2003, 10:29:15 pm »
I have the same problem.  Some times when this happens, the disk reads heavily, and when I finally move again, I am in a completely different spot.  (While running ie.)

I believe this to be because of a bad graphics engine.  It seems that when there is a LOT of textures ahead, everything comes to a halt.

Anyone confirm this?
