About skills I agree with zanzibar, but about Strenght, Agility...etc. There are 2 ways:
1) PP-s can be used only for stats, but this isn\'t very realistic, becouse of the same problem as with skills, you fight and than raise Int. for example...

2) Stats can be trained by activities, running around with heavy backpack increases endurance and strenght.
Fighting increases Strenght and Agility.
Using magic increases mental stats: every way increases the stat that it\'s dependant on...

But when stats rise by doing something the increase should be small enough...
And faster training could be done with trainers: in Gym\'s, nightschools :P, with jogging, etc...

And also there could be skill decreases, for exaple, if you only fight night and day, your mental skills would start to decrease(but at very slow rate) and the other way around (this could cut down the PL-ing, but there are always those who don\'t care...),
so you would have to do different things to keep your char balanced.

It is nice to know that, if I get into problems I cannot handle I can get help...

I just hope that Tyriel will arrive into Hydlaa one day, before guild becomes too big for me to handle...

The point with the guild is that it is never intended to be a thief guild as people imagine thief guilds, it is not a usual thief guild that concentrates only to thieving, we have our goals and ideas what we are going to do, but we do not reveal the now... :rolleyes:

To explain: the guild has 2 branches, Thieves and Warriors.
Both have their own Commander: Tyriel commands(not atm, but since no thieving abilities are available it doesn\'t matter) Thieves, and I command Warriors, usually we work separately(thieves at night and warriors in daylight) and  our services can be bought... also separately

But the main reason is that warriors and thieves can do many things differently, but if they co-operate they are much more flexible and can handle almost anything.

We can be just more effective working together, thieves help warriors in things they can handle by themselves, and  warriors help thieves in situations that need pure offencive strenght.

Also imagine this situation, we are hired to stole something very valuable and very well guarded object. Thieves alone would have to work much harder, to get in undetected and steal that thing.
But with the help of warriors, warriors can create a distraction, attack openly and lure most of the guards away, thay can survive that battle and retreat after a while and keep the guards occupied for enough tie that thieves can get in undetected in the confusion and steal it, killing (probably they even don\'t have to, becouse of the confusion) anybody still left guarding it...

To Efflixi: Why so sceptic.
Well... actually we never had the guild ingame since CB started, Me and Tyriel never met due to bugs and crashes, so you may have a point... :P
But one can never be too optimistic and I hope this turns out well... I just wouldn\'t like to waste a good idea

The time that a character is in the prison does not have to be very long fro 15 minutes to 24 hours, and be more of a warning, and each time the character is put into a prison the time would grew longer.

But another intresting idea would be forced labor  :rolleyes:
A player must collect a certain amount of some resource or  build something or  make some weapons... whatever skills a character has.

*thinks of several players in a fenced yard with chain and iron ball around the ankle, and breaking rocks* :D

And the physical barriers, would they apply to all objects?
now it would be \"funny\" to drop some Clacker Meat(with dwarf model) everywere and walking becomes a pain in the... of course one can pick them up, but it is always possible to put them several in one place...

The different creatures idea is great, but it should work only in spawns of stronger monsters, becouse otherwise it would be too hard for new players to play.

A new player can usually kill only rats or maybe gobbles too and suddenly a mercenary(or worsest... ulbernaut) appears... and kills him/her/it with few blows.

but other possibility is that the randomness of spawns should not differ more than 3: in sewers: rats, gobbles, weak tefusangs and rogues (edit: forgot fanatics), and so on...
I mean that spawns would not be to widely randomsized

As much as I know about the <> in front of the guildname, it shows that the guild is one of the \"old\" guilds, before the new guild creation rules were created.

About the Housing:
One way to let guilds build their own and unique Guild Buildings is to model it in 3D and than send it to devs and they can aprove or reject it.
Becouse usually if guild is large enough to afford a bigger guildbuilding, there is at least one person who knows 3d enough to make a castle or something like that, but this option should be available only to larger guildbuildings, to save time and size.

This way a guild building will be really unique, of course this creates a problem with matching the architecture of Yliakum...

I think that the additional things like walls and houses should  be made from blocks that is already in the game (maybe texturing only to match the texture of the guildhall, but it is not essential)

Hear ye...Hear ye...
Sword of Sillence is now officialy resurected!


Since there are not much to do with thieves... Tyriel is not playing, but he is keeping his eye on Planeshift... But as long as he is not playing I will try to keep Sword of Silence alive and running properly... I just hate to see a good idea like this fade into to shadows of history

All the guild goals and information is in the first post, I do not see the point of copying them here.

There is a traveller account(user: Guest; pw:Guest) so people can see more thorough info about the guild.

There are two ways to join:
 1)Send an application from the webpage
or
 2)Find me ingame(Mortazz) and give me your info and I\'ll create your user.

I hope that Sword of Silence will have at least 5 members in 18th of September, then it will be exactly 1 year from the first creation of Sword of Silence and I hope to create the guild ingame.

The best choices are 4 Mercenaries:
1)2 Mercenaries are in the left of the arena entrance up the stairs in one room(usually heavily camped)

2)1 Mercenary behind the iron fence or something like that,  this one is through the passageway in the middle of the hallway in the arena entrance( left or right, I do not no for sure, I always find it by accident), this one is usually free

These 3 are easy to kill even with normal weapons, they don\'t hit very hard...

3)4th Mercenary is right from the entrance up the stairs, and usually empty, but he hits pretty hard... usually harder than I could with falchions, but he is my favourite, and I have found all my good weapons there

PS! They drop only Broad swords, Battle axes and apples, better weapons are found in Gladiators and rogues...

Sword of Silence was dead since March, becouse there weren\'t almost anything to do with thieves, and Tyriel found some new battlegrounds (WoW...:rolleyes: )
and I, myself hadn\'t much time to play...

Anyways....,I have played about a week or so... the wipe lured me back into playing :P....
But still.... since there have been a lot of changes I intend to keep playing it and I\'d hate to waste a good idea like the Sword of Silence was...
Don\'t know anything about Tyriel though, haven\'t talked to him since Spring... I\'ll try and speak to him, becouse Sword of Silence was mostly his idea...

Maybe the time is now right to resurect The Sword of Silence from it\'s grave... to call back all forgotten warriors and thieves.... to start a new Life of Adventure and Glory...

PS! Since nobody has updated the webpage since last March, it will take time when all broken links are cleared, the page updated and also old members erased... but in few days I will create Sword of Silence ingame and hopefully even get some new members before the summer is over...

PPS! I\'m not starting to recruit new members before i get everything done on webpage(Tyriel created the webpage, and I am not sure if I can do anything there :P)... but if you wan\'t to join and see me ingame (Mortazz) give me a /tell and I\'ll see what I can do

Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game /

Today after playing for some hours PS crashed... I closed it and restarted PS, but when i try to log in, game says: \"No account found with that name\" ?(
I retyped e-mail, password, but still nothing, restarted the game, still the same \"No account...\"

I know that I didn\'t type the wrong e-mail, I checked...

PS! Last few times when PS crashed during playing, I didn\'t start it again after few hours... so dunno maybe it\'s temporary, server still thinks that the account is in use...
(optimistically, I hope it is like i think it is :P)

1st choice: A room in castle, on upper floors, castle is on a                    lone cliff, made of dark stone, as far away from cityes as possible, but still at least one city in line of sight...
bit utopic(hope i wrote it right)

2nd choice: Stone house, roof made out of hay (tatched? roof), inside everything a blacksmith ever will need: furnace, several anvils, hammers, enough room to keep all the ores and goods...
And of course a place to sell anything I manufacture
House should be placed near a mine, and also quite near to some small town...

Is there any way of recognising the mining locations?.
Well exept the obious - look for lots of people standing somewere out of towns...

or  miners just have to run around and hope to get lucky once..

Banking system for items could be like this:
For a certain amount of trias per week/month/day a player gets a small room, which has a stong lock, nearly unpickable, and into that room he can drop the items: on shelves, boxes etc.
Money deposit should be like usual, talk to an NPC, give him/her the gold and he/she will add it to your account.

Another idea is making the banking system like in real life, that bank can use the deposited money to give out loans, trading to increase the money,make things better in the bank etc.
Also there could be player run banks and smart peaople can get rich by running a successful bank.

My char is in Ojaveda, and every time I try to log in, I can be in the game about 10 seconds, and then...
linkdead...

Tried about 7-10 times, each time there is same problem...

I doubt that it is only the map of ojaveda that is causing the problem, but...

PS! the buddy list, settings, custom commands -  everything seems to be cleaned, or default again, does it have to be like this...
