When I was reading draklar\'s post I couldn\'t help but think of wc3. :D

---Loading Resident Evil Map---
Map Starts
Kramy picks Demolitions.
Kramy: Runs around shooting zombies and collecting items.
Kramy joins group at center of map.
Other Guy starts shooting Kramy.
Kramy: uhh?
Other Guy: You got bit by a zombie!
Kramy: No I didn\'t...
Kramy runs away and drops a claymore.
Other Guy dies when a zombie gets too close.
Kramy comes back.
Other Guy says \"AHH, KRAMY IS A TK!!1\".

Other Guys 4 and 6 start shooting Kramy.
Kramy drops a satchel and runs.
Other Guys 4 and 6 stand on satchel.
Kramy blows up satchel.
Other guys 4 and 6 die.

Other Guy 5 says \"OMG THAT GUY JUST KILLED 3 PPL\"
Other Guy 5 starts shooting Kramy.
Kramy shoots other guy 5.

Other Guys 2,3, and 7 start shooting Kramy.
Other Guy 3 drops chain explosives as a trap.
Kramy Uses RPG on other guys 2, 3, 5, 7, and the chain explosive.
Other guys all die.

Kramy gets flamed for a while.
Kramy runs around map killing zombies and not dieing.
Everyone else leaves.
Kramy keeps playing for a couple hours.
---Kramy wins map---

Rather lame rp\'ing, eh?

Well, with that said, I have to agree with you - powergamers don\'t tend to ruin games. After all, what\'s worse?

\"Greetings noble merchant from the great city of Ojaveda, what brings you to our humble bar?\"
--Powergamer walks away

\"Greetings noble merchant from the great city of Ojaveda, what brings you to our humble bar?\"
--Other guy says \"I aam gere to suck yer blud!\"
--Other guy says \"Sllurp suck suck slurp....\"

Duh. :P

What\'s your video card? I have a GeForce 2 MX 400(64mb), and after updating to the latest drivers, I discovered 50% of the games on my computer(6) didn\'t run anymore. :D Weird, eh?

I downgraded to the second-newest drivers, since a GeForce 2 will never be able to play DirectX 9.0c games anyway, and now only 1 of the games on my computer doesn\'t run. :P

Also common, although more so when there is no polygon behind the label. I think someone mentioned older cards getting most of the label glitches. My GeForce 2 has lots. :D

Ooh, the image. 8o I don\'t think your cat will be very happy if you try. :D

Hmm.....not sure - if there were issues, they seem to have gotten them worked out for WOW.

There\'s a couple other good older games for the mac, although they aren\'t MMO. I enjoyed EV Nova for a while - it\'s a space game with good, random storylines with a couple hundred different branches(about 6 or so major storylines that you\'d actually want to play). Also has lots of modding capability, and once you beat it you can install one of their mods to convert it into the predecessor EV games.

Most(all?) of Blizzard\'s games are mac-compatible now...but that\'s just one company.

Agreed.

My PSClient.txt is 12.8mb - it seems to be a log of all the actions performed, that fail? Wow, that\'d sure slow down the game a bit, recording everything, and running it in \"debug\" mode. :D

Another thing I found, \"csdebug-MS WINDOWS CLIENT.txt\" in my windows\\temp directory, is about 500kb, and has thousands of lines of:
crystalspace.font.freefont2:  Could not open fontfile /fonts/ttf/Vera.ttf!

It seems to add about 20 or 80(guess) lines every time I run the updater, or the game.

In the old system, you could shout while being in the guild chat, which somebody (x100) reported as a bug

Yeah, I always found it strange that if you accidentally shout something you want to say to your guild, then use \"up\" to get the message again, and flip to guild, it prefixes \"/shout\" on there anyway, so you have to retype the entire thing. :D

Smells like a bug to me....or stupid design choices. Technically you don\'t say \"/shout\", so it shouldn\'t be recorded as text. ;)

Another thing I found annoying(haven\'t been on for a few weeks), is if I\'m answering a question or something in shout mode, while talking to an NPC, quite often I forget to flip back onto \"say\". If the NPC is selected, the message should go to him, as I always deselect NPC\'s whenever I am talking to someone else, then reselect them when I want to begin talking to them again. This should not apply to monsters, obviously.

Edit: I doubt the last one will be changed for convenience  or common sense though, since there are plenty of slow-typers and hotkey-illiterate people out there. :D

Betas can also be, in some situations, \"Alphas\" with all the bugs fixed. Commercial games don\'t usually do this however, but lots of small game-making hicks release \"Beta demos\" (with all known bugs fixed) to see what people think. Most of these only have 1-3 levels, or in the case of a MMORPG, 1 town...

256mb ram....ack, with that you should be able to run one word-processing program at a time....as long as your browser isn\'t open. :D

Seriously though...
WinXP = 128mb ram usage(system hog)
Background programs = 128mb ram usage
You have 0mb ram to run PS with.

PS requires about 450mb to run itself, in this alpha form.

I have win98 SE - it uses about 32mb ram, and due to my 1337 computer skills, I am able to disable every process I don\'t need, leaving my 512mb with 480mb free, more than enough for PS.(as long as I don\'t keep my browser open)

I seriously question Xordan\'s logic. To make this simpler, lets say ore is worth 10 trias.

Assuming 2 people mine for 100 seconds and get 10 ore, then take 100 seconds to run to a shop keeper, sell it, and get back, they each get 100t every 200s

Assuming 1 person mines for 100 seconds and gets 10 ore and another person takes 100s to run back and forth selling the ore, they make 100t every 100s, but have to split it, making it 50t every 100s

COMPARE:
100tria every 200secs
50tria every 100 secs
1/2 > 2/4 = FALSE

Hmm...don\'t really understand your logic, doesn\'t make any sense to me. :D About the only reason I can think of mining together(since two people and trading ore is less efficient than doing it alone) is chatting, which is kinda a mute point since if you\'re running somewhere(which one person would be) you can\'t really do much chatting.

This leads me to the conclusion that this kind of logic is utterly moronic. (no offense)
