I had a cool camera glitch the other day. I was at the door to the areana and the camera gliched out and gave me a sweet over head veiw of the whole arena. good job on the art by the way.

but on topic i think i will try the tab mode i think it will work alot better.

Newbie Help (Start Here) / Glyph purification

I put this in hear rather than the bug section because i\'m probly just missing something. but i can\'t seem to move my glyphs in the glyph section of my spell book.
so i can\'t purify them or do anything with them at all. So if any of you know what the problem is plz tell me.

I will be a scientiest/alchemist with alot of magic casting. not shure which type of magic though. i\'ll decide when i see what spells each way offers.

Even though i\'m still at cool newbie status i\'ve been wondering these forums for about a year now. and yeah newbs have a fetish about gettin there names in the thread started by space. but i would sticky it anyway. untill you can come up with a feature that gives a 1000 volt shock to any one who types when, will, and cb in the new thread box.


but i kinda like the theards cause the devs always feel bad abot the newbs getting flamed, so they respond.  and ever time they do they always let a little more info slip. hehehehehehehe....................... oh sorry :))

My question when they get planeshift using all of crystals spaces features. really how much better can graphics really get?  cause on some of the shots they renderd i mean there stunning. my thoughts are when the game reaches that point what else really needs done. hasn\'t technology reached a point where creators can make a game look exacly how they imagined it. minus acually putting you in the game.

which i\'m shure in 10 years some one will be able to :))

i will prolly be a cleric type of charicatar with good spells and a big hammer.

    now flight would be good for me and my spells but, i belive in the future i would be able to have someone teach me the flying skill anyway. so there for i belive if you can pick it up later you might as well start with the fighting skills to get a better start.

I\'d say those who say the game is based on rp are correct, but those who say the game will revolve around hack and slash are probly also correct. the reason the game will prolly evolve around hack and slash is because the majority of the players want to hack and slash.  the thing is imo is that mmorpg\'s are to provide an alternate reality. to be compleatly open ended and to allow each person to do what they wish.

 which in the real world couldn\'t happen. all of you hack and slashers that say if you want to make shirts so bad do it in real life: be realistic. you can\'t make a living hand making shirts it\'s impossable.

and for all of you rp\'s that say if all you wanna do is kill things go play diablo. in diablo theres no player interaction. thats what ever one really wants. player interaction. they don\'t have any one to show there +800 damage maul off to. in an mmorpg they do they have thousands of people who will awe at their +800 damage maul. and theres a multi player in diablo i played it, thing is every one had an +800 damage maul, no one was impressed.

and what mmorps offer over anything else is the ablity to change your mind. if you wanted to play a baker and you played a baker for 2 months. and at your real life work your boss gets mad at you and gives you crap. and you come home and you don\'t feel like playing a baker you wanna explode some monsters with fire magic. you have that option. you don\'t have to get a new chartar you don\'t have to switch games. all you have to do is pay someone to teach you fire magic. and you can walk out side of town and explode some bunnies.

thats really the goal of mmorpg\'s to allow players to play how ever they like, and do what ever they want, with whomever they want.  they let people who wanna be thives be thieves. they let people who wanna do magic do magic. it\'s like being in a book. but instead of following the path of the book. it lets you wonder the world of the book doing as you please.

my only question is where\'s the mothly news update to the site. i\'m getting some withdrawl.

but i\'ve been cheaking the CVS text and your doing a good job. i\'ve noticed the shift from major updates to just rewoking somethings to take out the bugs. hopefully it wont be to much longer(crosses fingers, toes, legs, and arms) keep up the good work.

I don\'t think that very much inflation will occor for quite a while at least. When Cb comes out(if it ever comes out) it wont matter that much. If there are NPC\'s to set base line prices it wont matter. The Problm is though that over time money is created from looting monsters, and no money is ever destroyed. I think eventually inflation will occur on special items NPC\'s don\'t sell. it will take 1000\'s of players and many months (if not years) for it to have any mojor impact though.

The smithing will be done on a person to person basis, therfour there is no set method to it. it\'s all what you and the smith decide on. it will depend on you and the smith not the set up of the game.

i\'m more of a blunt object guy my self. Maces, Morning stars, Sceptors, flails, Warhammers 1 and two handed.

but i also enjoy Tridents and spear type weapons. I\'m hoping planeshift in the future with have a plethora  of diffrent weapon types

games with limited weapon types really lose alot of there fun factor

at least you guys only have to put up with cold or hot.

Here in Illinios it can be any where from 110 to -20.

And i\'m with Icefalcon. they\'ve been saying a couple of monthes since November so i\'ll go with Next January.

From what i\'ve read, it was a preselection or fighting styles they were a whole lot of em though like 12.

Maybe with The martial arts classes though you can unlock more styles.

As for the fighting system being about done i\'m not so shure. I think there could be quite a few drastic changes in the future. but yeah  the system they have now will be here for a while.

well the way i see it is that the soulution to this problem could be acomplished by

#1. making mana potions only work if your mana is compleatly depleated. there for the enchantment would be broken befour you could get more mana.

#2. spell cool down.  This would mean the mage in question would have to wait a while (depending on the power of the spell) to cast it again

That would make Powerful mages able to sustain enchantment for a while. but they could not spam mana pots. and they could not spam uber spells.
