Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game / the game goes very slowly

when i\'m playing, my frame rate isn\'t higher than 2 or 3 frames per second. I think that this doesn\'t have to go so bad. Thank you for read me.

My pc:
P4 HT - 2,6
512Mb RAM Dual Channel
Gforce FX 5600 256Mb
Conection to Inet - 300K/sec
SO - Windows XP Pro
