what about a merchent horse and cart to take sellable items from town to town for people that have to much to carry on their person.

so here i am, I got PK now what do it do. I have lost everything with no recorse for action to the crime.(well maybe other then the person getting a mark added to there name that done not help me any.)
If we are going to have a PK system then lets put in a system where by people cant just go around freely PKing other people with out a price to pay for it.
We can put in NPC Mercs that can be bought to hunt down PKers, (only people with a neg mark) and if I dont have the money myself then i can pay in what I can and tomarow another peoson can pay in till the merc is bought and the PKer is killed.

If I am a merchent and have been PKed there is no way I will have the skill to fight the PKer myself. Therefor I have no recorse for action. Unless I can Hire a NPC to kill the PKer, and maybe get half of my goods back, NPC keeping the other half.

This will both take money and goods out of the game too. I will feal I can do something to get part of my goods backand to get back at the PKer. The Pker will know there will be a price to pay for their crimes.

how about make the equipment whereout rather then fear or someone taking it from you? if ti is taken from me then i will leave it in the bank. but if it wheresout i can keep having it fixed till it is to far gone and has to me resmith back down to its ore. There by still taking it out of the game.

Reason i dont like open PvP. Thats what UO is if i wanted open PvP i would still play it. Last time I played it some PKer killed me and took all my goods. Now I did not feal like playing for days again trying to rebuild all my equipment back up just so someone could PK me again. So i quit playing. and the last time I played all i seen outside of towns was PKers. Did not see anyone trying to kill monsters anymore. Going outside of town with a fealing of someone is hiding around the next tree will jump out and kill me is only fun for the person behind the tree. Befor long the only people that will play are the Pkers.
Now i do beleave there should be a PVP system, but I think people should have a choice if they want to be part of the PvP system or not.  Some people like PvP open and for them its great fun and to me thats good.
For somepeople PvP is the deble and dont want to be part of a PVP system and thats good too.

I think if it took a hour to make a sword then the only people that would be smiths are the one that can play for 8 or 12 hours a day. and even they would get board of it fast.

so if level 7 was 15,000 exp and level 8 was 18,000 exp
then 18000/15000 =1.2
and level 9 = 20000*1.2*2.5 or 60,000
level 10 = 60000*1.2*2.5 or 180,000
level 11 = 180000*1.2*2.5 or 540,000

I agree with not stopping a toon from reaching a higher level. but make it much harder for the toon to reach the next skill level. I lot of skill systems put the next level at rate above the level befor it. In this case I think 2.5*rate after the now cap level would work.
or to say level8/level7= rate
then level 9 = level 8*(2.5*rate)
level 10 = level 9*(2.5*rate)
level 11 = level 10*(2.5*rate)

so if level 7 was 15,000 exp and level 8 was 20,000 exp

something along this line would keep levels over the now cap hard to reach but still make them acheavable.

I never did like the death systems where when the toon died they had to start over getting equipment. That kind of make the player want to find a new game to play. I do like the system where the person has a exp debt they have to pay back tho. Keep the player from getting a depresses fealing that they have to start over. Maybe even a skills loose for (X) amonth of time where it goes back up after the time runs out.
Would also like to see a PvP and a non PvP system.
