Technical Help: Problems BEFORE entering the game / how i got rid of linkdead message

When i put the grafics up yo 1024X768 and put the 3D
to \"software\" it gave me a linkdead message. If you just lower resolution to lowest level and activate open
GL it should allow you to plat the game.
