Ive been gone for quite some time as well. Doubt anyone except for ashes members know who i am though as i never was very active :).

Wish there was more time to play cb :(. I am curious how much is changed since the last time i logged in (couple months ago).

Good luck. Its good that the number of magic guilds are increasing. There were to few of them.

Oftopic: I noticed that most starting guilds have about 8-9 ranks from start. Why is that?
Wouldn\'t it be more practical to start with a few ranks and to change the organization when the guild begins to grow?

What i currently find disturbing is the growing hatred towards muslims. I know its not racism in technical sense, but it does not make it less wrong.
And yes there are muslims who refuse to integrate isolate themselves and form a threat to our democracy. And it should be possible to say that mohammed had sex with a kid without being murdered for it. But i dont see what it accomplishes to be so undisrespectfull as some are to the islam.

People should be judged by whom they are not the groups they belong to. So positive discrimination is also wrong imho.

I got -23 for IQ... :D

Ah well maybe ill try it later. If there is english in the test than its worthless anyway. And iq tests should indeed be taken with a very large grain of salt. Ive done each online iq test quite poor (about 60). And im an almost graduated university student.. Probably those english language questions are to blame for that!

Oh and my wisdom is infinitely great of course :P

Als iedereen in hun eigen taal ging praten zou het hier een zooitje worden, daarom kunnen we beter engels gebruiken als standaardtaal. Is wat vriendelijker ook.

Translation:

If everyone started using their native language it would become a mes here, therefore it is better to talk in english. Which is more friendly also.

Krayn, i think you\'re lacking in creativity for such a project and also do not underestimate the effort that goes into such a project.
Just look at planeshift. If you\'re really really serious than id advice you to first observe how other mmorpgs organized things and learn from their succes and failures.
Perhaps contact some of them to ask questions of the reasons they had for doing something one way instead of the other way.

Of course it would be great to make your own mmorpg. Personally id make a medieval non magic european setting. And later some other historical locations as well. But it just takes way to much time.

Well good luck depthblade on whatever you\'re going to do. You really seemed like a great guy (on the forum at least :) ). To bad i never got to know you. It is a healthy thing to step away from the computer to rl from time to time.

On a side note fanatic religious guilds following Laanx or Talad would be a nice addition. People trying to convert others to teachings in the public square, plotting against the opposing religion, creating false wonders and texts and all that.

Racist guilds should be possible though as long as those are based on PS races and not something moronic like the Deutsch guild, European guild or whatever.

Of course members should restrain from harassing others but it all would lead to more political interesting developments where good and evil may not be to clear.

wow, very interesting. Actually as a trekfan i was fantasizing about such a mmorpg. Am probably not the only one. Someone was bound to start such a project.
Hope they can succeed in making the game realistic, startrek correct and fun. And that it will be free of course.  
It is quite a challenge, but it seems that they could pull it off. Screenshots look really good so graphics is okay, hopefully gameplay will be even better. You\'ll certainly find me there when it is out :D

Trekkies can be recognized as  follows:

Trekkies frequently and at the most inapropiate moments hit their chest (at the location of the combadge) and shout \"beam me up scotty\" then look up with an almost insane hopefull glaze in their eyes.

Ah good to hear that phinehas. Than no doubt ashes has a very promising future. Maybe ill see some of you around ingame some time.

Tybalt how about making a story about some rp reason for the departure of four members?  Would add nice to the overall story id think.

Now that im a former member i wish ashes much luck and succes. You probably miss us very much to have around ;) :D I understand that, so if ashes ever needs an extra sword don\'t hesitate to ask me. Cant promise ill be available but would not want to miss a nice fight.

Furthermore the purge is not enough to make ashes the elite guild it seeks to be. More needs to be done to make it so. Goals are needed to make ashes thrive and have something to work to.
Also a bit more seriousness is required. Proposals amde on the forum only got a few reactions and hardly ever the proposal was discussed completely or even put into action. I think ashes requires more generation of ideas, discussion thereof and if the idea is found good it has to be implemented.
Not that i want to criticise ashes, but its my advice about how ashes could and imho should be improved.

Also id like to know how the ashes story are going to be dealt with. The original plan was to write something about the joining of each of us. Is that still going to be done? Perhaps some story about our departure could be written as well. For my char this could be based on mistrust (for which i have a concept) between Ionas and ashes.
