Gulx Meracian and Flea.

I deleted the music directory in the art directory...and the character page no longer freeze.
Once my character is created and uploaded, I can renew the music directory by untaring the archive and play with the music.

I\'m on Mandrake Cooker, kernel 2.6.3 with alsa
I think it\'s a problem with ALSA in 2.6.x kernels

I will try with OSS instead of ALSA...

What kind of kernel and soud drivers is running on your systems ?

Hi

The thread on the workaround for the arial.ttf problem under Linux is dead.
Can anyone post this workaround or add it in the FAQ or building howto ?

Thanks...have a nice day.

Ok..at least I founded a Mandrake mirror for those RPMs:

ftp.proxad.net/mirrors1/ftp.mandrake-linux.com/Mandrakelinux/devel/cooker/contrib/RPMS

Those packages was on a official Mandrake mirror (they seem to have moved)...they are made by the same guy.

Nom : cel
Version : 0.96r002-0.cvs20040103.2mdk
Taille : 5999 Ko

Nom : crystalspace
Version : 0.97-0.cvs20040210.1mdk
Taille : 26684 Ko

Nom : planeshift
Version : 0.2.011-1mdk
Taille : 6112 Ko

Mandrake packages are bzip2 compressed.

Planeshift contains :

/usr/games/ase_2_spr
‎/usr/games/psclient
‎/usr/games/psnpcclient
‎/usr/games/psserver
‎/usr/games/pssetup
‎/usr/games/texparse
‎/usr/games/updater
‎/usr/lib/Planeshift
‎/usr/lib/Planeshift/dbmysql.csplugin
‎/usr/lib/Planeshift/dbmysql.so
‎/usr/lib/Planeshift/pfcharacterdata.csplugin
‎/usr/lib/Planeshift/pfcharacterdata.so
‎/usr/lib/Planeshift/pssound.csplugin
‎/usr/lib/Planeshift/pssound.so
‎/usr/share/doc/planeshift-0.2.011
‎/usr/share/doc/planeshift-0.2.011/Compiling.txt
‎/usr/share/doc/planeshift-0.2.011/automake.txt
‎/usr/share/doc/planeshift-0.2.011/client
‎/usr/share/doc/planeshift-0.2.011/codingstyle.txt
‎/usr/share/doc/planeshift-0.2.011/compiling-mingw32.txt
‎/usr/share/doc/planeshift-0.2.011/completetodo.txt
‎/usr/share/doc/planeshift-0.2.011/credit.txt
‎/usr/share/doc/planeshift-0.2.011/history.txt
‎/usr/share/doc/planeshift-0.2.011/mysql
‎/usr/share/doc/planeshift-0.2.011/portable.txt
‎/usr/share/doc/planeshift-0.2.011/todo.txt

They seem to have been moved of the mirror...and, perhaps you know it, Mandrake mirrors are broke for the moment...I will seek for those pacakge during the next week.
And, as a last solution, I could put them on a web server if you are interesting in testing them.

Sincerely.

Thanks for the idea...I tested it...but no, this is not the solution.
I\'ll dig :-)

Hi all.

On my favorite Mandrake mirror I seen yesterday a planeshift RMP avilable.
It\'s a cooker mirror (mandrake-devel).
Then I installed it :
>urpmi cel
>urpmi crystalspace
>urpmi planeshift

First of all, the planeshift RPMs is very small...I think graphics are missing...

I done :
>export CRYSTAL=/usr/lib/crystalspace

And when I try to run the client :
>psclient

It anwers :
ERROR: csInitializer::SetupConfigManager failed!
Is your CRYSTAL environment variable set?

Is anybody here tested thoses Mandrake packages and have the solution for runable install ?

If there is no answer to my problem, I will contact the mandrake man behind the planeshift package.

The goal for me is not running Planeshift, that\'s not a problem...but I want to help with the Mandrake RPM, to make planeshift a standard for the Mandrake community...

Sincerely
