well i hear alot about infravision and how lots of characters have them but keep in mind that nothing is final yet. infravision might not even be implemented in any of the releases. plus im sure after living in a cave with animals and humanoids that have infravision you would come up with some defense against it. it just takes a little imagination thats all.

although this is a rpg, this is also a mmorpg. not that we wouldnt enjoy or appriciate random junk and atmospheric enhancers like a pile of dog poop, having tons of objects like that can not always be done in a game like this. mmorpgs are seriously downsized compared to other games in the detail department because some people computers cannot handle it. sometimes the servers cant even handle it. so you cant just have all that kind of stuff laying everywhere. maybe in the near future things like huge lifelike detail can be acomplished but with the given technology i gravely doubt it.

i would just like to clear up that i am the only forum troll around here (or forum troll incarnate, w/e) and that you sir are an idiot (bogo) This game only has RP in it, so if you dont like RPing... just leave... please? ok..

There are many complilations of stealth in this forum. But I find a flaw with many of them. But first lets go over the basics of stealth. Stealth is a style favored by rogues and other shady characters with high dexterity. They use their high dexterity for many skills and abilities. These can range from sneak attacks, walking quietly, hiding in the shadows, etc.

The reason I say this is because many of the views for stealth in planeshift are in a turn based package. things such as stealth attack, back stabbing, poison dagger. One thing that I feel should be implemented in planeshift is REAL stealth. Not just attacks using stealth. PS is in real time as stealth should be.

 I\'m not asking for any stealth that compares to splinter cell or the thief games but something around that area. Other users should litterally not be able to see you, even if they try very hard. Things like camoflage, magical invisibility cloaks, real smoke devices, shadow blending. The mmorpg world is much different to rpgs or other offline games. You arent just hiding from AI, or able to script the AI not to notice you when your in a \"mode\". You have to fool real players, get around human AI, you cant script human beings (yet )

 Many might dissagree that these things would make a thief/rogue/whatever-you-feel-like-calling-it too powerfull, that you could sneak up on an unwary player/monster and kill them too easily. What I have to say on that is, \"thats whats so cool about being a rogue\" Instead of using strength, or devine spells rogues use wit, dexterity and stealth to outmanuver thier opponents.

 If things arent implemented that let the rogue actually have stealth, then why can a barbarian have his blade? Its the same answer, survival. Barebones survival. If Rogues dont have necessary stealth like I described then we are like a barbarian without his weapon and a mage without his devine powers. Thank you for your time
