Net lagg has a minimal effect in planeshift what your experiencing is graphical lagg which is due to the lack of code optimisation.  So it wouldn\'t really matter if  the server was next door or on the other side of the world you would still get lagg.

I have to agree with you. More ram is the easiest thing to install in the computer there is. And it improves performance so much. The other point might be that as planshift evolves and gets more textures and so forth it will be less likely to work in 512MB.

But with further code optimisation it will require less ram so expect the ram requirements for PS to hover around the 256-512 MB range for a while.

im sick of stupid people putting up snowflakes and snowey stuff and snowmen in australia. there is no snow here. stupid american influence. well... anyways

We don\'t get much of that in NZ thankfully although quite a few ads use snow.  I vote to subsitute snow with sand as its much more enjoyable and warmer.

we will be having a barbie (no roasts here) and leaving the air con on. its damn hot. last year at christmas it melted cheese.

You wont be having a barbie if you live in Brisbane, the weather report here said thunder storms :P  Although if you live in Melbourne, Perth or Adelaide have the best christmas barbie you can have.

CB is coming out tomorrow!!

Give the devs a break they deserve a few days reprieve.

Game? What do you mean \"game\"? You can die and everything... this isn\'t game, it\'s a life!

Ok Draklar follow me towards this nice white room.  Yes you will get used to the sponginess of the floor and walls.  Yes, the dry-cleaners will accept your nice white jacket.

FF VII was and still is the best game in the world. So good that there is gonna be a movie based on it!! in my opinion FF X-2 sucked, u should have gone with FF X.

FFX is alright if you can stand the blatant linearity of the game.  I mean untill 3/4 of the way into the game you can\'t choose where to go and when you do decided were to go its usually only for leveling or grabbing items.

Me, I prefer the Star Ocean series of games, much better development in my opinion and it doesn\'t have an awful turn-based combat system.

With 10,000 tria? I feel sorry for everyone who starts with nothing since they will have to work as a farmer for 50 months just to outfit themselves. This conversion from crystals to tria is really going to make life hard for newbies. The rich people will only trade with the rich people and the newbies will have to work extremely hard to be able to get there in a few months.

Yeah its probably not going to be fun for people like me, who for various reasons failed miserably at crystal hunting (screen too dark/computer too laggy depending if I was playing on the main computer or the laptop).

Most likely the build instructions will not change significantly. One useful thing though is that the updater ( once built ) can then be used in linux to get the required art. This is what I did when I set up my new development system in Gentoo. Worked for me without a problem

Sounds like good news indeed!

I was wondering if the installation of CB will be the same as it was for MB. If not, then maybe acraig could offer a new installation guide for us linux users. That would definitely help when CB client finally arrives.

I doubt it will be the same installation procedure as MB.  It is more than likely that one of the devs will release a guide (although the binaries might actually work this time around :P).

The funniest thing that someone said tasted nice had to be coke, white vinegar, vanilla essence and lemon essence (there might have been salt in there as well but I can\'t remeber).  Actually the guy who drank it said the only thing he didn\'t like was the vanilla essence (he might have been lying there was a bet involved here).

everytime I try and logg on it says the sever not avalible, and I leave it at the address it gives me

Thats because the MB server has been shutdown.  You will have to wait untill CB is released before you can play again.
