Awesome. Thanks. I\'m downloading the new client now. It\'s weird I\'m on Cable and it\'s an unbelievably slow download.

Are those email adresses or what? Yeah I know...I\'m no programmer, and don\'t claim to be, but if that\'s an address to write to to inquire about testing CB then, I\'d be really stoked.

Hey Wedge how do you know so much about CB? Is there a link to a run down of what all will be different, and what will be new?

Or did you get all your info from the main site and the forums?

I don\'t think it would make things go slowly per say. Because if it was turn based, wouldn\'t it be based on one of your characters attributes as to how often and how fast you get to attack?

So kinda like player x has 31 dex and player y has 35 dex. Player x would get initiative on the players side.

In table top RPing. (d20 style) Initiative is done like this... Each combatant (Player and Enemy alike) has a modifier according to how high their Dex is.

Each combatant roles a 6 sided die and adds his/her modifier to the role.

Each combatant takes his/her turn according to the total initiative score (1d6 plus modifier)

I don\'t see why you wouldn\'t be able to convert a system like that into a video game, BUT I know next to nothing about designing video game engines or even programming on an existing engine, so.... /shrugs

General Discussion / When is CB gonna be live?
« on: May 25, 2004, 11:16:35 pm »
I look everyday for Crystal Blue to go live. I am pretty anxious to see if Klyros made it in. When... when will CB go live? Anyone know anything about the current state of affairs concerning the release for CB?

Awesome. They work. Thank you.

I\'m still not satisfied though.

Must... have... Klyros.

By the by, are there any sites with skins posted?

Ok I copied some kran skins and some male cat-man (not sure what the races name is) skins to there repective folders. The skins are there in the folder, but when I go to character creation, they don\'t show up.

The only skins that show up are the default skins.

Should I rename the files or something? Or what?

General Discussion / How to use player made skins
« on: May 24, 2004, 06:11:35 pm »
I am very interested in learning how to use player made skins, as I am sure a number of other new players would too.

So some tech-savvy wizz post how to do it here.

How exactly do you use these skins? I\'m kinda illiterate when it comes to tech stuff like this. It usually takes me hours of frustration.

So...if you\'re gonna explain, walk me through it step by baby step please.

Oh yeah and what\'s the link to the site that ole dude compiled all these skins at? Do I need that site? Is there a way to use the links in this thread.

Thanks

Oh yeah... Are there any screenies of the skins in-game?

Wish list / My wish list so far...
« on: May 24, 2004, 08:01:37 am »
I haven\'t had a chance to really sink my teeth into exploring and what not, as I have only played for an hour all told.

I wish...

-That you could choose different skins at character creation, i.e. bulky, athletic, skinny, ect. Clean shaven, Bald, long hair, ect.

-That this game was all ready up and fully running

-That when I hit ENTER I could start typing in the chat box, and then after I hit ENTER again I can move freely.
i.e. Instead of pressing Tab

-That mouse look was just a simple hold click, move mouse to change angle, scroll mouse wheel to zoom in and out.

-That there was a simple way to change the keys the controls are binded to. (Does /bind work?)

-That Klyros (The winged race) was available all ready.

This game is gonna be awesome. I think this will be a perfect game to RP in. I haven\'t really been inspired to RP, like paper and dice kinda RP, by a game until now.
My imagination kicked into overdrive while I was going through the character creation process. If all those things make it inot the final version I will be one happy and devoted player/fan of PS.

Hella props and thanks to all the people who have been working on this project. For a team of volunteers you guys have out done yourselves. This game will truely rival the MMORPG heavy weights when it gets finished I think.

General Discussion / Is there a devs update thread?
« on: May 24, 2004, 05:54:29 am »
Hey I just checked out PS and although the game is a husk so to speak, I am really interested.

I was wondering if the devs have a thread/forum where they discuss upcoming additions, release dates, ect.

More specifically I was wondering when that race with the torn up wings ala Raziel from Legacy of Kain will be available for testing.

How long has this project been in development?

How much will the release version cost?

Will there be monthly fees?

What can I do to help?

Will there be an open beta?
