What about a judicial system that randomly selects citizens to sit for jury duty? Then it would be realistic AND boring! ;)

Great news from Fish! And just to set the record straight, the reason ' was showing up instead of my apostrophe is because the computer I was using at University had this site listed as blocked, so I accessed it by translating it through Altavista.com. It seems that Babelfish messed up my apostrophes for me. Oh well.

If you know if there are any other interesting things Dragon can be used for then don\'t feel shy to post!

Actually, they\'re doing it for territorial reasons. Iraq is their home, and no matter what the west thinks about their home, it\'s still their home and they like it. They\'re fighting because their home was invaded by foreigners that try to change it without asking them, the residents, if it\'s fine by them.

SaintNuclear was certainly right, I did make a bit of an oops. The \'raqis ARE fighting for territorial reasons. There wouldn\'t be all this death if they hadn\'t been invaded. But I suppose I meant that the terrorists that would have attacked regardless, such as 9/11 and Bali, do so for religious purposes.

The troops aren\'t trying to eradicate Islam, the new Iraqi government officials are Muslims, and Saddam Hussain did not run a religious government, as opposed to, say, Saudi Arabia.

I never intended to say that the western troops were in place to iradicate Islam, I merely meant to comment on their motivation.

With that cleared up, I\'d like to state that my personal belief is that the Iraq conflict will not ever really die down. I think it\'s going to be another Northern Ireland, conflict going back and forth forever, and in ten years no one will remember why.

Keep in mind that the soldiers fighting in this conflict are doing so for very different reasons. The American, Australian, UK and both New Zealand troops are there for their government. The Iraqis that are still fighting are doing so for religious reasons. Their religion has been in place for centuries and they see nothing wrong with it.

The big question is: when will it stop. Until all Iraqis are dead or the Americans swallow their pride. For every Iraqis that dies, the others get more upset, angrier and end up listening more to the religious fanatics. Eventually, through no fault of their own, every Iraqi citizen will be a \"terrorist\". And the Bush Administration won\'t pull out of Iraq because if they show weakness, or go back on their policy, they\'ll get murdered at the election polls.

It\'s a sad conflict fought between actaul people. I lived among Muslims in Saudi Arabia for six year when I was young and their not bad people. And the Americans aren\'t bad either. But neither will blink first.

This photo isn\'t too recent, but it\'s still quite accurate. ;)

That is sad. Pogopuschel dashed my dreams upon the rocks that line the beach seperating reality from fantasy. :(

I have returned from the future! Half Life 2 rocks! And Final Fantasy 20 isn\'t bad either :)

I think that\'s a great idea, personally. But why not take it a bit further? Accesories, scars, tattoos... and brands! It used to be common practice to brand a first offence criminal in medieval times. That meant that even if he travelled halfway across the country, authorities could still identify him as a crim.

Keep in mind that PlaneShift is running on donated
server space. A web based version would need sooooo much more room. At
the moment all you really can do to increase performance is lower
resolution and turn off sound, but how low can you go before it is not
playable anymore?

I think you can get programs that run in the background and allow you to speak commands into Windows.

If I'm right, then it might just be a matter of configuring the program correctly.

If anyone can try, then I'd be pleased to know the results

Wish list / Support for Naturally Speaking chat

Does anyone know if you can run a \"
Naturally speaking\" Program such as Dragon while
running planeshift? This would aid in speed chatting, as you
could speak your sentance and then just press Enter! Has anyone
tried? Does anyone actually HAVE Dragon Naturally Speaking?
Because of speed issues in a MMORPG, it is obvious that audio
chat will never be implimented, but if Speaking programs are
compatible, it might just help the people out there (me) who can'
T touch type.

First: I am quite a newbie, and therefore found the FAQ greatly enlightening. Thank you, Mogura.

Second: Regarding FAQuestions 27 and 28. For all those out there who used these tips, remember that you will have to re-do them after you use auto-updater. It replaces the modified psclient.cfg with the standard one. Simply readjust it again.

Ciao.
