Name: Cow/Penguin Siege Engine
People Needed For Maximum Effectiveness: 3
Base: Varies - Can be wood or metal, only the wealthiest people can afford the metal ones.
Projectile: Poisoned, Rabid Cows/Penguins
Type of Impact: Splatter, or if the cow/penguin survives, massive biting and poisoning.
Appearance: A large wooden base is fit onto several, reinforced wood wheels. A board is placed at an angle on the base, with various types of reinforcements that are usually magically enhanced. Two posts fit in a slot on each side of the board. A wide, short piece is placed at the bottom end of the angled board. Each end of a strong string of hundreds of pieces of entwined wire is reinforced onto the posts of wood. the loop is tightly stretched over the needle.(This is what all the Cow/Penguin Siege Engines have in common. Some are endorned with intricate dwarven designs, some have automated tools that automatically release the string, and some might even have additional magical enchantments. It depends on the creator\'s imagination and how wealthy he/she is.
Strengths: Quite effective against organic targets. Causes extreme panic among troops. Rabidness actually spreads through magical means. Many types of poison may be applied. In case cows are not available, penguins may be used.
Weaknesses: Although it\'s a siege engines, completely useless against non-organic targets unless it needs a red/green painting job. Over usage of this weapon might starve local cities that depend on dairy farms for survival. The rabies part of the cows almost never works because the actual cow has a low chance of surviving when launched. In addition, the poor cows/penguins are badly treated.
Costs: Varies, but is usually quite expensive. It\'s also difficult to convince farmers to lend their cows for ammunition. As for rabidness, it is sometimes dangerous to go look for a rabid wolf to contaminate the cows. For poison, it is not required, but greatly increases effectiveness, especially because it\'s difficult for cows to administer rabies when they are dead.
*I\'m not sure if this is original or not, but if cows aren\'t original, then I\'ll go with penguins instead >=D
