Psignosis, thanks for the feedback. Agree the waterfalls need more work, will be a big focus after the test release as we dial in new opportunities visually beyond basic functionality porting.

The lava will be more complicated to solve, but agree it also looks pretty dated. Currently it is just the old assets with luminosity maps and some panning normals.

Welcome avguste! Yes, we've discussed getting it on steam once it's ported to unreal. Could be a great way to increase visibility and make it more convenient for new players to try it out. Could also streamline the update process by handling that automatically.

I like that it assumes no prior knowledge of ps as an intro; I didn't realize how seldom stories here offer that up, but it gives it a nice gradual feel of increasing familiarity as you read through. Excited to hear what happens during this unusual astronomical(?) event.  :thumbup:

The death realm is not ported yet. I try to keep the list on pswiki up to date, so you can always check the progress there.
Background loading should also work for interiors like taverns, which will use a sublevel. I will be testing this soon on the magic shop.
For spell effects, we do have some starting points from free ue4 assets, but we need a volunteer to jump into these if possible. It is a fairly contained task but will take some time to learn the system in ue4 and convert all the spell fx. If anyone is interested please feel free to DM me here or in discord! Thanks!  :thumbup:

Hi Can-ned Food! You are correct that Nexus is no longer being used. We have been coordinating through discord and a few manual sheets as we are looking into using a new project management tool in our port to unreal, seeing as Nexus was 15 years old. Once we find the right tool we will be able to update the access and improve/expand coordination of tasks.

Thank you for checking in on this and in the meantime, feel free to ask me for help in getting to the right dev! I check my forum dms and discord pretty often.

Tidebringer, the current section of the city that is in game will still be there, unchanged. The additional areas are being added rimward and edgeward of the current quarter. Sorry it won't look like a wing anymore. :)
