General Discussion / Re: 2 Servers?
« on: April 13, 2015, 07:18:06 pm »
Can players report players who are blatantly OOC and refuse to roleplay?

If a player is interrupting RP and has been asked to leave the player or group alone and he/she/kra still continues to do so, yes. See for more info: [GAME POLICY 06] Harassment

Can you just ignore the player instead?

Ofcourse you can choose to ignore a player. However, when a player is also disruptive in RP's other than yours it will not resolve the issue.

There is plenty of space in game for all, treat each other with respect and help new players familiarize themselves with the game and roleplaying... That should go a long way...

We're also available on IRC or send a PM :)

Even though the servers may have been merged and we have rp'ers and non-rp'ers together players are still expected to be IC as much as they can.

Not interested in RP? That's fine as long as you don't interrupt the players who do want to RP and use guild- or groupchat to chat with your buddies OOC.
If your RP is interrupted ask the player (in a friendly manner) to stop, if he/she/kra still interfering use /report charname and let the gm's know via a tell or a petition.

In-Game Roleplay Events / Re: [GM EVENT] Kor Neka Mansa
« on: March 30, 2015, 06:47:58 am »
The last time most will have heard about Paajah or Kor Neka Mansa was most likely when she was supposed to stand trial. Due to all the confusion at the time about the identity of the menki Amidison decided the trial could not be held.
However she did not release the menki who then said his name was Bhurrash, but decided that he would remain in jail until the real Paajah was caught.

Morrquea, who took Paajah's place at Kor Neka Mansa was devastated to hear this news, luckily she already was in contact with some old friends and invited them to their new den.

Plans were made, schemes prepared and new allies recruited....

"Taulim wakes up in the grass between a few houses not for from the Barracks, his head hurts and he has no idea what he is doing there. Confused he rubs his head as he tries to remember what happened to him. While his head pounds he tries to retrace his steps and after a few minutes he remembers the cloaked fenki. She gave him a bottle that he happily accepted because he was thirsty at the time, the last thing he remembers doing is taking some good sips from that bottle before heading off on patrol...

Hours had passed and the other Guards had returned to the barracks after fighting the Azure mage. Clearly something was wrong, soon it became clear to Taulim why that fenki had been so kind to him..."

The next day the Guards are seen at the East Gate and the East Passage, they are stopping citizens and are looking for anyone possibly connected to Kor Neka Mansa. Curious citizens are told that Bhurrash and another, not identified, member of Kor Neka Mansa have escaped from jail...

Is this another scheme intended to confuse everyone or was Bhurrash really Paajah after all?

Turn off any unnecessary things like weather, grass, etc. or backgoundloading on 'none' might help.
It could also be very possible that you are on a map that is causing you to crash, to help you with that I will need a character name so I can move your character to another map.

Aren't Diaboli the only ones known to do magic without the need for glyphs?

General Discussion / Re: Banned. Really PS?
« on: March 15, 2015, 07:17:32 am »
I think it's inappropriate to discuss the specifics about Talcon on the forum. However I will explain how the procedure leading up to the ban went.

AFK training and botting are considered the same offense.

When we suspect that a player is botting/AFK training we test in several ways to see if our suspicions are correct, think about sending tells, reloading npc's, sliding, teleporting, pretty much anything that provokes a response.

We will then first send you a tell explaining which rule(s) you are breaking. We give you a comfortable 10 minutes to respond, so a bathroom break should not be an issue.
If you choose to ignore these tells or break the rule again, you will receive your first official warning.
Break the rule again? You receive another warning.

After 2 warnings we deem it necessary to take more evasive measures; in this case -30 trained skill and a 3 day ban.

In the case of Talcon I did make a mistake there, I reduced all his skills instead of the skill I was supposed to reduce.

When you get banned you can join us on IRC on #planeshift-gmtalk to discuss this.

When you are training keep an eye on your client and be sure to respond to tells send by a GM. That way we know you are actively playing the game and not unimportant are respectful towards the GM's.

More info on the game rules and policies here.

Kridore Released from Prison

Kor Neka Mansa staffmember Kridore has been released from prison by the Octarchal Guard. After months being locked up after assaulting a citizen and disturbing the public under influence he seems to get off easy now his boss Paajah has been captured.

Kor Neka Mansa Staff Seen at the Ojaveda Bazaar

A staffmember [Morrquea] from Kor Neka Mansa was seen at the Ojaveda Bazaar where she opened up a booth to play a gambling game. While she was rushing away after hearing someone call for guards, she mentioned something about "...more games in our den outside Ojaveda...".

Paajah's Trial

Paajah's trial will be held soon at the courthouse in Hydlaa. But is it Paajah who has been arrested or is it just a sneaky trick?

The GM team intends to organize events that are fun for all the players that attend the event. In the Klyros Down event there were some actions taken by the GM's that we thought were a good addition to the event and meant to emphasize the situation the players were in at that moment.

Unfortunately these actions were not perceived as fun. Damola was one of the players affected by these actions and the criticism she has on these actions, like any other feedback given to us, will be taken into account and we will learn from.

General Discussion / Re: Lawyers?

Fortunately, the Octarchal Decree of 425 AY is still quite manageable. Compared to modern law book sets in these oh-so advanced societies, almost "trivial".

Indeed.
Imo the laws in the octarchal decree are covering most basic rights and rules that a society needs and mostly it's common sense that those laws are in place.

For the preparations of Paajah's trial I've done some research as well and it seems to be you can make quite some charges, statements and defenses based on just the octarchal decree.

Wants to nominate Gonger for all his help during events; his efforts make it a whole lot easier for us GM's to run events.
The communication OOC between participating players and GM's has improved a lot and that makes events even more fun for all of us!
Also he always is available to answer questions in the Help-channel during events, which means we can be better focused on the event itself.
And ofcourse he is a great RP'er!!
