So what happens if a certain guild declares war on a certain religious group?? How would that work?? You can only be in 1 guild at a time as far as I know, and PS has no support for organizations..

Why don\'t you tell us? You are the only person in history of PS who tried to use organisation (BISM) to fight a guild with force :O

seriously tho\'
Religions tend to be more powerful than simple guilds. Fighting a religion with force is hard, that\'s obvious. But religion can simply bestow curse upon a guild disallowing its members to join it
I\'d advise reading a bit about rl history... especially about disbanding of Templar Knights or Holy Wars...

That\'s what part of the bism is for, an it\'s easy enough for org members to challenge, not so easy to have to wait for an org member to accept.

Yes, but a religous group would probably try anyway. There is bound to be some group of Talad or Laanx fanatics who\'d start such a fight. And anyway, we\'re talking about a god who isn\'t even part of the official history, someone who could very easily disapear and nobody would notice. If it were laanx or talad who somone was trying to destroy, then you\'d have a very valid point.

Nah, it\'s all about number of believers. The more people follow Aliathi, the stronger the religion is. At some point it could even become stronger than Talad or Laanx.
But you know... for now most of people believe in Talad and Laanx so they\'re somewhat superior religions...

The Coterie of Dernier Cri
« Reply #20 on: September 09, 2004, 12:14:20 am »
I am pleased to announce a new member, Kuiper. With his joining, we have a suprise announcement to make!

The Followers of Aliathi have \'adopted\' the Coterie of Dernier Cri, the promising fashion group created by our new follower a while ago. After some negotiation, we decided to merge the Coterie into our religion, and it is now owned by me and Gronomist. (Kuiper didn\'t want to stay as manager, but he has the right to reclaim it at any time if he wishes).

This brings some changes to the goals and chores of Aliathi followers. Any follower who wishes to take part in Coterie development is welcome, and will need to put their name down on a list in our forums (which I am about to create). They will be assigned Coterie ranks alongside their Aliathi title and will perform Coterie duties secondarily to their Aliathi tasks.

Fashion trends and clothing/jewelry created by Coterie developers will be freely available to all Followers of Aliathi, and may be sold at markets and merchants in towns as an extra way to gain profit for the religion.

My thanks go to Kuiper for trusting us with this responsibility, and I welcome you beneath Aliathi\'s protective wings. Have fun here! :)

Good to see the Coterie will be well taken care of, best of luck with this unexpected merging of organisations.

So I guess this means that anyone who is interested in the Coterie would first have to follow Aliathi and the two no longer should be considered as separate entities?

Yes, that is correct Kada. :) It\'s fine by me if some people will want to join us just to join the Coterie, but they will be required to do everything required of any Follower. So basically, it can be your primary reason, but it mustn\'t be your only reason. ;)

Is there anyway of freelancing, say you are chaotic evil and you want to make money by selling cloathing designs (this is a purely theoretical question)

Then by all means; this merge between Aliathi and the Coterie doesn\'t mean all tailors in the world will be required to join us. :) You can make your own clothes or even make your own tailoring guild if you so wish, but you will not be associated with Aliathi or the Coterie.

Of course, it\'ll be flamed for copying Kuiper, but that\'s your choice to make. :D

Hm, so would that make Aliathi the goddess of bling?
