Best online 3D shooter game ever made(FREE!!)
« on: October 26, 2004, 01:22:45 pm »
Hey all,
ET (Enemy Territory) is another FREE online first shooter role-playing game.
You have a choice of either being the allies or axis. (Different weapons for some classes)
There are 5 classes to choose from each having their own special abilities EG. Medic can revive (almost) dead people and can heal them or even them self?s.
There are 100?s of maps and objectives to complete and you work as a team from around the world to defeat by blowing them to bits!
Maps are being made every week and its virtually and endless game because of so many maps.
It?s a really fun game and I recommend it too all.
Download client off http://www.enemy-territory.com

I am part of a really good NEW guild (clan) called STA and we believe in no training times and just noobs who want to have fun! JOIN US AT http://www.clubbase-sta.tk/
Or visit our forums at http://staclubbase.proboards21.com

Hope to see u all in ET!

No you don\'t have to pay for it...
It was meant to be the multiplayer-part of the follow-up to RTCW - AFAIK.. They tossed the project in the bin before they could finish it though.. But instead of just stacking it up with all the other games that never became, they released the part they had finished.. The multiplayer part luckily :D

Who makes them? Where do you find them? And which servers support them?

Download them from the servers you connect to online. All servers suport maps. I would recomending downloading the patch (it doesnt come with the origonal game download.) Its a great game and its kinda hard to map for so no n00b maps. Only high to medum quality maps.

I downloaded and started playing its extremely fast paced compared to any other ww2 FPS Multi I have ever played...but all the same it has this vibe about it that makes it fun no matter how many times they kill you. Good find :)

Meh I play that as well on the odd occasion, I find it to be alright except for the fact its purely American Based. The idea of a game being put out to attract people to join the forces seems so wrong but heh its still a fun game to play..especially some of those scenarios. Can catch me playing

\"Bridge Crossing\" all the time

Don\'t tell me you didn\'t get full of WWII themed games. Pure commercial \"things\" and you\'re the aham ... inferior people that buys them :P
ET exists only to make you buy Return to Castle Wolfenstien, which was a total failure at selling.
 Play EVE Online! :D

 * EDIT *
 Counter Strike rocks ET\'s \"life\" btw  :]

Et was to be a kind of sequel to Wolfenstine thingy. Yet it was pulled the plug on, the devs knew they wouldn?t go back to it so finished it off and released it as a totally multiplayer shooter (possibly because the single player wasn?t finished) several mods have taken it up and you can even find a few WW2 realistic mods but they all have to have notices that say

Content in these mods may be illegal in Germany

I think the Swastika is illegal in Germany. There are many maps for this and many skins for it. My favourite map (next to the Simpson?s one) is the Stargate map :).
