I can\'t see anything I type on my XP computer, but I can on my ME computer, which Lags like mad.  What can I do about this?  It\'s very annoying.

Greetings and welcome to Planeshift. Try setting the compatability of psclient on the XP machine to Win2k or 98 and see if that helps (right click, properties, compatability tab). Also try disabling the \'advanced text something-or-other\' in the same tab.

If that doesn\'t help, just wait for CB to be released. It\'ll probably only be a few weeks/a month at most, as it\'s currently in final closed testing.

I\'ll just have to wait.  Changing the compatability stops PS from working.  Thanks for the help though.

Well, you might also try to set the rendering to \"software\" in pssetup.exe, as there might be a problem with your graphics driver (which might also need to be updated, despite it being a new machine).

I noticed the safe mode and tried that, and it works just fine that way.  thx for the suggestions though
