Your MOM is linkdead

Alright... I just recently downloaded this game and installed it. It looks awesome so far. When I try to create my character, it either tells me that the name I want is taken, or pauses for a second and tells me that I am linkdead and to go here for help. However... Seeing as how the server responds when I submit a name that has already been taken, I am obviously NOT really linkdead. I am not currently running a firewall of any type. Anybody know what is going on?

Well, to start the subject of this post is completely inappropriate.. next, many names have been created by people wanting to just look at what PS is like, soon to be dumped while the name still sits on the servers.. and third, what is your connection.. cable? dsl? 56k?
