a new mage npc with frogs
« on: November 29, 2004, 11:09:09 pm »
I thought about a new npc, a magician surrounded by 6 or 7 frogs (HIS frogs !) which are able to do something like jumping 1 minute before its raining... What about that ?

This will be a spell a player character can\'t control but its a little magical atmosphere...

The magician could be in the border of a great place to show us his magic capacities

I suppose a guy showing off his magic makes sense, and adds realism, we have street performers too after all, and they did in medieval times too.

I like Red Jelly Beans!

A True Sorcerer with great power would not resort to such low levels, a dirty mage on the other hand, yes. :D
This person would have to be a fool, no man would spend his life studdying sorcerey and then go and flutter around on the street, making sparkel faries. maby juggelers, but thats for the bards :D

thanks adeli

I never said its a great sorcerer but a magician who wants to show us his capacities and in fact this one could be a kind of teacher for example...

In a medieval city there are a lot of different people... and in middle age the streets were alive: people worked in the street to show other how they work... Maybe is it because of this lost of tradition that we dont know anymore how to make a good job today...

if you wanna see medieval atmosphere in a videogames see planescape... a lot of noise a lot of people walking everywhere a lot of sellers, a lot of workers, a lot of shouting people...

A magicians act... sounds interesting, even if it\'s useles it has entertainment value. Or can higher level magicians make it rain frogs(lowers accuracy of all attacks)?
I like taking things literally, going overboard is fun! Now... why do I keep getting odd looks?

He he he, I can see it now.
Your concentration has slipped in the face of such a blatant missuse of Brown magic.

On the other hand, traveling magicians would be interesting, however useless one might think they are. Perhaps A bard, magician and merchant all traveling together, just think of the bueseness capabilities.

Yeah, floating bards with your very own full size infaltable action figure :P

Seriously you have to have \"useless\" magic just because it allows more variety (who says magic has to focus around combat anyway?).

what\'s that about a full size, inflatable love interest now?!?

Johnny Depp\'s a poser to the throne. No one will ever play the part as well as Gene Wilder
