simple quest
« on: December 13, 2004, 12:17:24 pm »
Hello, I\'m new here and from what I\'ve read my ideas won\'t match with the rest completely but I\'ll post them anyway.

I heard that it in the end should be possible to live a life as farmer or whatever you wish, something without adventuring, so I think it would be good to spike up those lives a bit aswell - not to much of course. If I get this right it could also be possible to own land for every character, so this one goes for every player who ownes one way or another land:
There could be some kind of insect-plague, or maybe trolls or something (I don\'t know the common creatures in planescape but you\'ll get the idea) the player would then have to deal with this, he could do it completely himself or he could offer a reward to people who\'ll do (or report it to the city guard?). Of course there could be NPC-farmers who\'ll from time to time have such quests open for the players.

Game\'s called Planeshift, but that can be forgiven..

Plagues have been discussed in previous posts, owning land probably been discussed, use search.

But what does this have to do with a quest?

this is called planeshift, not \"farmer tycoon\" or something. Owning land is probably possible in later versions, maybe even become a farmer, but plagues etc. is just impossible.

Do you also want gasses in mines were miner could die from, and tax for shop owners etc.???

I mean its just a game, not the Sims.  (the sims is so boring that you cant even call it a game :]  )

Many attractive women disagree.

But back to the original post, the focus of this game is on adventurers, although that extends to people with political & merchant careers as well as artisans, I think it is half-expected that they will do some adventuring too, at least early in their careers.
