« on: December 25, 2004, 01:12:54 pm »
Some problems occur to most of us and some have not the knowledge of solving them here is a little guide for you:

1.) Your computer tells you MSVCR70.dll is missing

Download a copy of msvcr70.dll at this link:
http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?msvcr70

and unpack the zip into:
C:/Windows/system or C:/Windows/system32

relaunch the game.

2.) You can\'t type the @ as login
- go out of the login screen and type ctrl+f search for the planeshift.cfg
- right click on planeshift.cfg Open with (chose notepad or another editor of your choice)
- Edit the line
Planeshift.Connection.User = myname@myhost.com
it should be the 16th line
- save the file
- relaunch planeshift

3.) Your computer crashes with a misterious error:

go to the planeshift setup.exe and turn off the sound

Hopefully it helped someone any correction is appreciated (i know my bad english is hard to understand)
Thx also to all other who have found the solutions but i just wanted to collect them in one thread.

Where to get MSVCR70.dll
« Reply #1 on: December 26, 2004, 04:50:34 pm »
WRT MSVCR70.dll, I searched my local drive for it, and found a copy in the following directory, which belongs MS Flight Simulator 2004.  Copying this file to system32 was enough to get the updater started.

C:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Flight Simulator 9/

HTH.
