Sorry..dumb question

How do you pick up stuff thats on the ground? I cant seem to do it, when i right click on something on the ground nothing comes up and i dont recall seeing a command to pick up. And im pretty sure i didnt see anything in the guide about this.

It should work but when the server is going linkdead it doesnt let you so that might be yourr problem.
