Updater - Missing Text
« on: January 05, 2005, 03:16:21 am »
My apologies in advance if I\'m repeating an existing thread, but after a quick look around i didn\'t see this mentioned yet.

I just downloaded PS (whatever is the current build), and installed it. I then went to run it, and it said my version was wrong, that I should run the updater. Doing so updated the updater, then prompted for a re-start.
The problem is that now, there is absolutely no text displayed in the updater, just thu background, buttons, and percent bars.
It all still works, because I clicked the update button, and watched the progress bar go by, but there\'s still no text. I have tried re-starting the updater, but the problem remains.

System:
Windows XP home, (5.1, build 2600)  (SP2)
DX 9.0c
Athlon xp 3200+
Radeon 9800

Well, you should get the habit of taking deeper looks, or even using the search buttone, then. Like on page two of this very forum we see:

Client Text Missing post recent update
This obviously is a problem like yours - missing text - and thus worth a look. In fact, it does have a reply leading to the thread that answers your problem.
