Treasure Hunt

We need some quests ingame, what about treasure hunt quests ?

And this works like that:

If you are not still on a tresure hunt, you can ask every npc about rumors about tresure ....
ask \"do you know about treasure?\"

By hazard the NPC will give you the first hint and says who could know more about the treasure
This way you get infos like \"I heared about some goldore hidden near the Stoneface, ask .... for more\" ...
So you have to ask the next npc \"do you know about treasure ?\"

He will say something like \"near the stoneface there are two trees ... dwarffeet away there maybe is something i heared .... knows the position but this way you will wake maybe the Owners\"

So you can try to find the treasure without danger \"/dig for treasure\" nearby

Or ask the 3rd NPC Who will give u the position or a sort of note or mappiece.
He will say something like \"Look at this peace, i marked the position with a cross, i would dig myself, but the .... is guarded by three Thiefs with long Broadswords. Try your luck.\"

when you now try to dig at the given position, the monsters will spawn there and atack you immediately !!!

After some trys by diggin you should find the treasure.

A treasure hunt is binded by a player, so no other can find the treasure at the position.

What do you think about it ?



It isnt so hard to implement this i think, you need something like a treasureposition table with \"Hints\"
If you dont have a treasurehunt yet, you get one of this table with a treasure by hazard, like a sword,
so you need a second treasure table with \"treasuredescription\"
A third table can define the monsters

So you get by hazard  treasureposition, treasure, knowers (3xNPC), and defenders (monsters) by player id, thats it.

1st npc tells u about loot, blurred position and who knows more
2nd npc tells u about nearer position and who knows more
if u now try our luck and search there (/dig for treasure) o defendes will apear
3rd position gives u the direct position (marked by a cross) and informs you about defenders
if u now try your luck defenders will defend the loot :)

Thats cool, isnt it ?

And quiet easy to implement, cause its \"semi\" static
I think this could bring much fun ingame, you can group to kill the defenders and devide the treasure.

Later there could be treasure boxes to open.

Hmm, it seems like a good idea, but the npcs should only rarely tell the name of the next npc.  That way you have to gather information on your own and deserve the treasure all the more.

The information you get out of one npc would help you locate another npc that has some more info.  A name might be mentioned occasionly if that person has much to do with the target :)

That is a kick ass idea, we need quests that r harder and longer in order to keep us occupied while the devs execute things like the wipe and updates
