Were character is stored

I was just wondering are, our characters stored on our computers or by the server because I need to go to a restore point or even a full re install so I just want to know that my character will still be there when I put my past word in after a re-download

All characters are stored server-side. If they were stored on your computer, everyone would hack themselves to become uber-developer god people.
