A new guild
« on: February 19, 2005, 02:11:40 pm »
hiya i am thinking of starting a guild up and i all ready have a name for it (Synasty)
but i dont realy know what rules or history of the guild i should have and i would like some ideas of some

SYNASTY is run by 2 guilds POWER and WEALTH although each will be a separate guild they will both be interred locked together. Where the 6 guild leaders including me will meet up on an unset basis and discuss the guild and how it is going.

Ranks POWER: 1st: Guard, 2nd: Soldier, 3rd: Knight, 4th: Paladin, 5th: Noble, 6th Lord, 7th: in-lightened, 8th: Angel, 9th: Immortal

WEALTH 1st: apperantice, 2nd: worker, 3rd: Employe, 4th: Shop owner, 5th: Noble, 6th: Lord, 7th: Arche, 8th: King, 9th: Emperor

Allignment: good

There are two categories in the guild the power and the wealth
POWER in power a group of people go into battle with other guilds creatures and towns.
The battle group is made up of 4 guards, 2 soldiers, 2 knights and 1 paladins; each group is controlled by the one paladin they choses where to go and what to attack after the guild leaders have ordered them. After the battle the group will collect the spoils of the people they killed when they return to the base each member of the group may keep 3 of the items they looted the rest of the items will be given to the guild leaders. At the end of each real month the total spoils that were given to the guild   leaders will be sold and divided amongst the guild members.
When at the ranks or noble, lord, in-lightened and angle groups of 2 each will set off on lavish guild quests that will have large rewards but will be considerably more dangerous.
Immortals are the Power class guild leaders there will only be 3 guild leaders in WEATH and POWER.

WEALTH in wealth small groups of people will set up a guild fonder shop in a town. Each shop group will consist of 2 apprentices, 2 employees and 1 shop owner.
The workers have the job of being trained as a soldier and as an employee because they will venture off into the wild and find the items that the shop might be running low on.
Although the life of a shop owner might be boring the   risk of dieing is nearly 0%. Shop owners will OT get the dividens of the collected items from battle instead they will keep all money the shop earns but the shop keeper will have to divide it up amongst the shop.
When at rank of noble, lord, arche, king the people will have a shop at the guild house they will be safe inside its walls and will have access to rarer and more expensive items that a regular shop would have immense trouble trying to get.
The rank of emperor is the guild leader there is only 3 spots in this level.

Guild (SYNASTY) house will be set up at a area close to most rescores eg the sea: for fishing and gathering seaweed , a forest for wood cutting and fletching, a mine for mining and smithing,
Farmlands for cooking, farming and possible animal training.

Traitors of SYNASTY will be punished severely although the guild is good; trator is against the way of the guild.
traitors will not be dismissed from the guild but inserted will have a choice of either they wish to pa a fine of up to 100000 tria or dismissal.
Depending of the act of traiorism they committed the fine will increase or decrease eg if they stole from a guild shop the fine would be the items full price including a 5000 tria fine,
Where as deserting a guild battle would be a fine of 50000 tria or dismissal.

Not only will there be the 2 main guilds but there will be a third sub guild
This sub guild will have no leader and everyone will be equal the sub guilds name is the
Royal guard the requirement of this job is to complete 3 hard quid guests.
When the quests have been completed you will have the option to enter the guard or not.
The guard?s duty is to protect the leaders of the guild when they venture to a dangerous place of into a battle.
They will keep no spoils looted from victims but instead will be given a wage of 2500 tria every mission they go on.
Each member of the guard will be given the same armour by the guild and will be identical in most ways including weapon.
There will only be 30 positions for the guard and once they have been filled there can not be anymore.

That?s all I have so far sorry I took so long I hade to find allotted of info.

Now someone will flame you for this but not me.. What do you want your guild to be.  Like your alignment, ranks.. and what class are you.. that could play into your story.  What do you want it to be?

Yes, make the effort, take the risk, there will always be the few who flame you, but you can overcome it. Check out some of the other guild\'s websites and see how they have build their story, and set up their structure of their guilds, I am sure you will get the idea of what you need to do.
Post your information for all to see and work on it until you get it like you want it. I wish you good luck.

i know that is alot but i wouldent think that anyone would do something that bad to warent that fine, and they dont have to pay that fine they could coses dissmisal instead.
and someone might pay that if they realy want to stay in the guild.

also i forgot to post this at the start so far on PS there is an over crowding of guilds and in my oppinion most of them wont stand for more that a few months.
i dont plan for that to happen to SYNASTY

(no offence to other guilds)

Creating a guild is a personal endeavor.  You should really come up with the ideas yourself.  Mold the guild into what you want it to be.

Edit: Changed the thread topic.

Also, if you could, take all the info you have and put it in your beginning post.  Then right when people click on your thread they will know who you are and what you believe.  Good luck..
