Domain/Sub Domain names
« on: February 20, 2005, 12:03:44 am »
Hey guys,

Do any of you know a reliable place to register a free domain or sub domain name?

I have made a forum for a guild I am a part of in WoW, and the Invision board URL is long, and difficult.  I need a domain name.

Dot.tk Doesn\'t seem to be working right now.  Anything you know of?

Dot TK is working man. Go here to register your domain name. If for some reason it doesn\'t work for you, I will see what I can find.

EDIT: I will kill the King of the Typo eventually...

There use to be cjb.net if I remeber correctly? I use to have a  geocities website with that to shorten it up. Not sure if it still exists you would have to look into it, caution it did have a pop-up when used.

WiseKran: What browser are you using? I doubt that has anything to do with it, though. The link should work as it works perfectly fine for me, and I am using Firefox. Well, try going to the Home Page and see what happens. I also found this in a search. I don\'t know how reliable it is, so use at your own risk.

dyndns.org works a treat for me. I\'m using it with a static IP address and 2 domains, and have never had a problem with it. And all for free, yay!

It does MX records as well as backup MX too, so you can set up email addresses like

WiseKran@souldevourers.kicks-ass.net, or WiseKran@harvestors-of-blood.game-host.org, or whatever else, its pretty nice!
