/quit configuration
« on: May 17, 2005, 02:33:36 pm »
i noted in the CVS changelog this:

*** 2005-05-12 by Andrew Craig
- Added patch from Arianna Benigno to make /quit prompt for confirm before
  quitting right away.

i started using /quit specifically because it did *not* prompt. i have always found such prompts annoying, especially when it would be rather difficult to trigger the action accidentally. i have difficulty believing that the 5 character string can easily be accidentally entered and don\'t want it to prompt.

however, i suspect that many have requested this, and most who haven\'t requested this don\'t use it and so won\'t notice.

i propose this comprimise: make this a configurable option, defaulting to prompt, and the configuration only affect /quit rather than all close program triggers.

I can do that for the /quit command I think.  Have it configurable to either prompt or not.  I think that almost every game that I have played has that prompt there though :)

But if you really want this option I will see what I can do :).

But incase if you typed /quit accidentally maybe when you type it you have to wait 5 seconds and if you move during the 5 seconds the quitting is canceled. :D
