Laanx down, and the vote.

Ok, before you set me aflame, tip me over, and sink me into the swamp, this is not a criticism thread.

What I want to know, is if I should change my plans for an in-game vote due to Laanx being down. I wouldn\'t ask, but if the in-game part is still on, I need to start organizing polls and such. No big deal, really, but I wanted at least part of the election to have a place in the game. Otherwise, a forum poll will do fine.

On-forum.
- Makes good use of our time while we wait for the hard-working devs to get the server patched.
- Eliminates the time-zone problems that arise from in-game elections (you\'d have to staff polling stations for all timezones)
- ... and most importantly, ACCOUNTABILITY. This way, when you tell us that \"Sloophie the Inept\" got 89% of the votes, we can count for ourselves.
Not that I don\'t trust you or anything :0P

Actually it was intended to have both in-game and open forum poll. It would be a headache organizing polls for all the time zones and tallying the logs, but I was going to try. Not to worry, though, the Council is not done voting yet.

We\'ll see. But perhaps you are right.

Wouldn\'t it be better to wait until people are back in the game and give it another week\'s notice. Nothing wrong with using the forums to vote as long as people know about it and have a choice.

hmm think a forumvote may be the way to go but you still need peoople ingame telling people to vote there seeing there are way more people ingame then posting here in the forum. I mean I am pretty active ingame I would like to think but in the forum I hardly post \"Why talk about a game when you can play it?\" I always tell people

OK, Laanx is back up, but due to the large size of the DL I will not be able to go in-game in time, as I\'m sure a lot of other people will not either. So the vote will go in a forum poll, with anouncments in-game as I can arrange. Town Criers will be needed for this though. I will try to get in the game before the vote is over.
