This is because if noone leeches, you cannot upload anything. Thus, your share ratio won\'t go up until someone starts downloading from you. It really just says how much you have uploaded compared to what you have downloaded. If you have a share ratio of 100%, you have uploaded the same amount of data that you have downloaded, meaning that you basically gave back what you took. You should always try to get the ratio to or above 100% to keep the torrent alive. I had a ratio of ~350% when my installer became obsolete.
You have downloaded the client, but now you must install it by running the downloaded program.
If possible, keep seeding the bittorrent so that when someone wants to download it, they get a decent speed.
