ok i just got planeshift and it really looks cool and when i just finished downloading it and i got on it shows a server called fragnetics and its the only server there and it says fail beside it and somthing pops up and says cannot connect or somthing, and also when i try to update it, it says downloading registry.., couldent connect to mirror fragnetics!, ran out of mirrors!.
can someone please please please help me i really wanna play this game..

There have been some issues with the server lately, so, it\'s possible that you tried to connect when it was down.
Also check if you\'ve some firewall running, to discard the possibility of it blocking the network traffic.
At the time i\'m writing this, server seems to be operative.

for me the server is still down  and i really need to update, so can you maybe please guide me what to do to disable my virus thing to make it work? i have nortan anti virus..

oh trust me i am, why dont u people just get wow its the best mmorpg ever! whocares if u have to pay for it , its really worth it and the server is always up unlike this one..

People are here for different reasons, one of the main being the community. Many play other games at the same time, when they are feeling like experiencing something more complete. If you are having further problems with the server, then please tell us so that we may help you find a solution. People are always willing to offer help to those that come looking for it. So what\'ll it be? The ceasing of silly posts trying to \"convert\" posters to other games and an explanation of the problems you are experiencing, or a less-than-graceful departure from the PS community forums that\'ll leave your pride as broken as your ability to enter the game? :)

In case you don\'t know, like some people who have glanced at this game, is that it is PRE-ALPHA. WoW is a COMPLETE, finished game with a large number of dev\'s working on it as a job. The dev\'s for PlaneShift do this in their spare time.

Take that into account before you start posting stuff like this. :/

P.S. Yes, I do play WoW and personally, I find that the community in PlaneShift is the best I\'ve seen in an online game. WoW has a lot of people who just run around killing monsters with mates and there is no real in-depth roleplaying. I suggest trying to roleplay in PlaneShift as it\'s a heap of fun and really adds depth to the game, more-so than other MMORPG\'s.

( oh so now you start replying as soon as i say that but not when i need help..)  well, i really really want to play this game but i cant because the server is  ALWAYS down and i cant update (look up) so i might as well not play.

Our past assumption is that you were trying to update and connect when the server was indeed down. If you are still experiencing the problems, however, check to make sure that you are not behind a firewall. Disable \'em and see if you can update this time.

Try to add more information.

Possible error messages, system specifications etc.
You can try to ping laanx.fragnetics.com (go to a ms-dos console and type ping laanx.fragnetics.com) and see if it fails.
Are you sure you aren\'t behind a firewall?
Because if you meet all the requirements, then you can be in a situation i was some time ago.
The server is located in Singapoore. I guess there aren\'t lots of nodes leading to it, so, perhaps your ISP sends data only using one defined path, if any of the nodes conforming that path is down, then you won\'t be able to connect till the network administrator realizes it and corrects the issue.
