Errr....hang on a sec, Gloki doesn\'t know what bug you\'re talking about...
Which one is it...my secret one that is far too hard to use?
Unlikely...so what is it?

Do people even read these posts?  It started as a comment on the behaviour of the players, and turned into a debate about finding bugs and posting solutions.

If anyone had actually read the posts, you would realize that the bug in question is not new, is in fact well know, so the argument that the exploiters are doing us a favour is garbage.  I am all for finding new bugs and reporting them, after all that is what we are here for ( pre Alpha tech demo ).

I\'ll say it once more:  It\'s the fact that new and old players are using a well known and long-lived bug to gain an advantage that has me rankled.  It\'s just plain cheating ( been said again and again ) and it\'s wrong.  Sorry to keep harping on this, but I just got seriously angry to see it today.  You may be happy to learn that I am done now, and will post nothing more on this matter.

Agree with you Bodacher, it must be regarded as cheating by using exploits like this... Me my self used \"an exploit\" (wich includs walls and other obstacles) but i didn?t  think of it as a cheat when using it... just used it like a thing in the game... but when i think about it it?s a kind of cheat and is wrong 2 use... But, though there will probally be a nother wipe i dont care that much if other ppl use those exploits now... and i say like someone posted here: \"It?s just a game\"... and then, it?s just in the pre-alpha stage... how much can we demand people not 2 take advantage of this kind of exploits this early...? nothing i would say... oh well... back 2 game for me!

I honestly think something should be done about this. I just witnessed a player who could barely kill a clacker useing the bug to kill grendals!

Yeah, and by letting it slide we will create the impression that this game doesn\'t mind cheating. Do you honestly think that once things are declared \"serious\" people who have gotten used to exploit bugs will stop? Don\'t you think that by that time we will have attracted a playerbase that considers exploiting acceptable? Don\'t you think that decent players won\'t have left in disgust by that time?

It is just a game, but does this mean that cheating is fine? Do you say the same thing if soeone cheats on you in a card game? Seriously cheating in computer games seems to be considered somehow less bad as in other games, maybe because it is so much easier to do without getting caught, and because there is close to no way of you ever being really punished for it. If we let cheating slide, we can just as well add \"increase\" buttons to each skill and stat. Cheating destroys the game for everyone, and this is why there must never ever be any such offense let slip.
Cheating doesn\'t make a game better, it makes it pointless.

So bottom line.. cheaters should be punished, bugs will be fixed in the futute. Nobody or nothing is perfect and will never be, as many bug fixes there are in the future. There will alwyas be some1 to manipulate something to their liking.
Of course you should fight fire with fire, you should fight everything with fire.   :P  Xantherus Icer  :P
