Darkness Problem

Well this is unreal, I just started the game, I hit unstick and the area im at, it is so dark that I cant even see how to get out of there area, and I talked toa a advisor and they said there is no way to brighten the game, so basically I cant play. Unless someone knows how to fix it.

if you do /unstick twice in rapid succession, you will get trasported to the Death Realm.  From there, you can get back to Hydlaa plaza.  Unless the \"Dark Place\" you are stuck in *is* the Death Realm, in which that won\'t work.

I actually had this problem a couple days ago, on the road outside the city in the middle of the day.  I quit the game and restarted it; everything was fine when I logged back in.

There is a darkness bug happening now and then, you have to wait the ingame hour to change in order to get things back to normal.

you can add -nolightmapping to the target line of the thingy to brighten the game,

if you use windows rightclick on the planeshift icon and then click on properties and then you should see a thing called the target line add -nolightmapping outside of the \"\" marks then click apply.

for linuxy people do something like psclient --nolightmapping when you run the thing

mac people i  have no clue what wierd stuff you need to do.

this makes the game quite a bit brighter increses fps but makes things look a little odd but i say its worth it.


with this \'darkplace\' that you are in after clicking unstick a bit it prolly is the death realm just unstick some more to get put back in the path and then you can easily find your way out unless it is too dark, then the above might help you.

...Increase the brightness setting on your monitor...and you\'re probably in the Death Realm, not to mention that if you\'ve been wandering around without seeing where you\'re going, you probably fell off the bridge, so do /unstick twice in rapid succession (which is what probably happened to put you there in the first place), which will put you at the DR entrance.

I use a mac, and had the same problem in the DR. I targeted myself and following the side of the total darkness that \"cut off\" part of my target symbol and made it back. This is a very annoying problem, though, and should be fixed.
