I don\'t think he understards what we are saying very well, he mentioned it in a few posts above. Could anyone who speaks spanish translate what lynx and seytra were saying? They\'ve both got the basic idea down that translation should be for ease of use, but, players should still speak english in the public channels.

Wrong. That will split up the community, something we don\'t want happening at all. There will never be servers that connect to different, separate \"instances\" of the world, not for people who play in different time zones, and not for those who want to play in different languages. It\'s just something to deal with :)
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

Translate the Player's Guide
« Reply #18 on: August 03, 2005, 07:21:37 pm »
A thought about translating into any language:  It\'s probably far more useful to translate the Player\'s Guide than the interface.  People who know enough English to get anywhere in PS will quickly learn words like \"quest\", \"train\", \"level\" etc. and the pictures help with identifying items.  The Player\'s Guide explains everything in more detail - for a non-native speaker, it will be hard work to read it in English and they might not understand everything clearly; translations could be very beneficial to newbies.  (That is, if they read it at all, which even many English speakers don\'t before spamming the forums with dumb questions :) )

You resurrected a 2-month old thread to tell us to go read your other thread? Poor form. Simply posting in the other thread was sufficient.
