There is no in-game map at the moment, and there isn\'t likely to be one for a while. No automap, at least. In the future, however, there will be a Cartogaphy skill available to players, so you will be able to create maps yourselves, and share them with others. There are various \"screenshot\" maps available in the community, however. Search around! :)
To get money, beginners are usually advised to explore the sewers in Hydlaa for rats (they can also be found in Ojaveda, the Enkidukai city on the other end of the hills). Rat parts can be sold to merchants (Harnquist, by the blacksmith, being a popular one, who also sells weapons). Over time, you can try harder and harder monsters, who drop better items :)
