Partly transparenet characters
« on: October 14, 2005, 08:40:07 am »
Quite often I see partly transparent characters in the tavern. A sample can be seen on the following image.

Sometimes there are characters without heads, sometimes I guess there were totally invisible characters.

And it seems to happen in the tavern only, nowhere else.

Is this something that others experience as well? Or it is specific for my operating system, video card, drivers or the way they are configured?

It also happens in the sewers sometimes, but I have no idea what conditions have to be met for this to occur.

The internet is "the terrorists'" most important weapon, they say.
Wrong.
Fear is their most important weapon.
Ours is our freedom.

Related to the \"blinking dark boxes\" that are used to create darker areas. I think it\'s already reported in the BT. If I recall correctly it was using one where Lordbug stated the lack of ceiling in the passage to east of hydlaa.

This bug is already known, sometimes you can also see opponents respawning, and disappearing just in the same second - they still attack you, but you don\'t see them until you are dead. Or other players kill the opponent you selected before you can attack, because they don\'t see you, or you don\'t see themand are surprised by the opponent falling down, or getting a message that you must be grouped.

The usual workaround is: \"/unstick\" once, carefully. Wait until you were moved. Then you may be lucky to reappear before the opponent attacking you has killed you.
