Can't login...no account?
« on: October 18, 2005, 06:55:36 pm »
Hi there,

I\'ve updated PS and I\'m trying to login for the first time, but whenever I try it says there isn\'t an account by this name.

I\'m pretty sure I\'ve activated my account ok...i\'m posting here under it and if I try to re-activate it from the original activation email it kicks me an error that the account is already active.

Do I have to activate my game account differently than this forum account or something?  Sorry if i\'ve missed something obvious...

Forum account, and game account, are different things, indeed...

Your forum account is not your game account.. :)

The Downloads section on the main PlaneShift website offers instructions for creating an account:

Quote
To play PlaneShift you have to download one of the files below depending on your platform, and then register a new account.

After filling in and submitting the registration form, you will receive an email with a link to the activation page. If there is a problem with account activation, check these two threads. When activation is complete, start the game, type your email address in the \"username\" field, type your password in \"password\" field, and click \"Login.? You will then be brought to character selection screen, and since you are new player, you will have to create a new character (simply click on the first empty slot).

Happy playing!

Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

Gah...I figured it was something obvious.  It\'s working fine now.

Thanks Karyuu!
