Dissapearing Objects...
« on: October 21, 2005, 07:33:51 pm »
I\'ve read through the bug forum... and I cannot find anything directly related so I\'m posting. I know there are transparency issues, however, I\'m finding that while roaming around, especially outside of the cities, that the trees, rocks, shrubs, houses.... basically everything but the terrain dissapears. It\'s hard to know where your going when you don\'t have landmarks to go by...lol. At one point it was just me and hills... no other NPC\'s, PC\'s or objects. I wasn\'t any place I shouldn\'t have been because another PC could see me just fine.

In town same thing... except shadows where the objects should be... I haven\'t tried to run through them, however, so I don\'t know if they\'re actually gone... or simply invisible to me.

If this is something new (or newly addressed) in specifics, I\'ll take a screenshot, and post my computer specs.

Thanks,
-Celi

Personally, I haven\'t fully understood the problem and a screenshot would make good!

I think the basic problem is that at certain angles, objects just disappear off the screen, no matter how close they may actually be.
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

Yes, that and the fact that when you are behind a transparent part of, say, a tree, things beyond that may disappear (and the remaining ones are untargettable). If you are close to the transparent layer, then you will have your entire field of vision vanishing most objects.

But it really sounds like the camera angle issue. Simply tilt the camere up ur downwards and the objects return. It also usually happens only in a few places, so moving a few steps aside will also help.
