Any smashers?

Is anyone here into super smash bros at all? I\'m like up there in the super good section (not to brag:).)
I was supposed to compete at MLG Los Angeles which is basicly the western conference tournament then the winner goes to like the world wide tournament. But my school has the Psat\'s that day so i couldnt make it.

So is anyone good? And if so who do you use?

As for me, I use shiek as my main and fox as my secondary. I know one person thats better than me and he knows no one whos better than him. :)

Oh and another quick question while on the topic, does anyone know how to connect a gamecube to a computer?

Ahem, you are both talking about the same game.
SSBM is Super Smash Brothers Melee.

I\'m ok at the game.  Seeing as I am the only person I know who can lay the smack down with every character I\'d say I have an advantage over the mindless creetons who can just squeeze a win out of me with the one charater they are good with.
My brother claims to be the King of Samus.  So far he holds that one in my book.  I have yet to see someone beat him when he has her.  But like I said: if you can\'t bring it with everyone then I tend to ignore your claims to fame.

Well I havent been able to play SSBM as much.  In basic SSB I am quite good with Mario, Link, and not bad with Kirby either.  But I usually play Link and Im always up for a challenge :).. and then if you beat me we can play AoE II :P

Kirbys technicly the best in ssb original. As for ssbm shiek, fox and marth are technicly the best, in no certain order though.

Haven\'t played SSBM yet, but I still play SSB often. I compete with my two other cousins, and it\'s great fun. I win most often, and they lose. We play with Project64 Emulator on our PC.

Kirby, Ness, Pikachu and Link are all good for me. Pikachu and kirby are lot quicker in some ways, so I prefer them. This game offers us endless fun like Tekken 3 offered some time ago.

EDIT: Valbrandr, can you Internet play AoE II - The Conquerors with me? I\'d love to play it.

I\'m the master with Marth and Roy, Roy because of fire attacks, Marth because of speed/smash attacks, but against a level 9 link team, I\'m defeated...Its those evil extended throw chain things...

Marth has the longest melee range in the game, technichly you should be able to hit them before they hit you, learn marth sweetspot too. (tip of the sword)
With Links chain thow just rolldodge in and youll have a few years to pull a combo on him before he can recover. :)

As for roy use his raw power to kill people in 6 or 7 hits. The side smash works great and countering works great on cpus but against normal people they begin learning to predict your counters.

i like link... mnainly because hes just cool but has his good down and a attack (or something like that) i havent played it in ages though.

both SSBs and mario party are great games to play with friends

Yup I finally broke down and bought the game and Im having some fun :).. too bad I cant play against you though :(.  I am best with Link and Gannondorf though I die too much with him.  I dont like too many other people.  bah to Kansas.. no gamers here :(.

Aendar:  I have problems connecting online with it.  Induane believes its the type of internet that I have not allowing me to contact because of IP issues.. the router from Sprint giving me a different IP then I have :(.  Ill get in touch with you if I get it to work :).

Val go to smashboards.com and youll find tounaments all over the US you can go to, theres probably one around you.
