Unable to display .run file in MEPIS (Debian Etch)

I\'m using MEPIS 3.3.2 (which obtains it\'s APT from Debian Etch) with GNOME 2.10, after downloading the latest .run I get the following error:

Couldn\'t display \"/home/Jo/PlaneShift_CBV0.3.011.linux.x86-2.run\".

I\'ve downloaded several times and still got the same error.

have you made a chmod +x on the file ?

All fixed. It only came up with that error when I tried running from Nautillus, worked fine from terminal.

I\'m still new to Linux....  :D
