Bittorrent Stops

First of all id like to apologise if this topic has already been looked at but i did look. If there has alredy been a topic plese post a link.
Rite- I download PlaneShift_CBV0.3.012.exe and it downloads 100% after a few hours. The green bar says- Done, Share Ratio: 87%, will seed indefinitely. The slider is on- Maximum Upload Rate: 20 kb/s (DSL/cable 256k up). When i open the torrent file it gives a directory with no torrent files, and it says the planeshift file i have at the moment is not a torrent file, yet it has no icon and no updater. I have previously been a player but i needed to download again as i got a new comp. PLease help,

EDIT:Iv kept the bittorrent client open and its started uploading. Its now on 90% Do i need to wait till its 100%?

As soon as you finished downloading, you can use the file. But it is nice of you that you share (upload) the file to more people after your download finished.

You should try making a search on your hard drive:

Start-Search: and obviously look for PlaneShift_CBV0.3.012.exe the file has to be somewhere.

i have the file, but, i dont know what to open it with. It gives a list of possible programs but i cant think what would work. i cant remember how i did it the last time i downloaded ps

EDIT: i have searched but nothing comes up- and normally when i download in all programs it will say newly downloaded programs, yet there is nothing. On desktop there is the file i named planeshift, but it has no planeshift icon, and seems incomplete. Please don\'t tell me i have to download again because that will be the 5th time iv tried.

The only thing I can tell you is that the final file should have this size 271,438,388
If the one you found doesn\'t have it, something went wrong with the download.
I\'ve seen lots of people having problems with BitTorrent because of using the official client, that seems not to be very user friendly.
I\'d suggest trying Azureus, BitComet or BitTornado, as they have a GUI that you will identify with other p2p you could have used before and make things easier to handle for you.
