Alright, make sure you have Mac OS 10.4.3. Then, take a screenshot (Command-Shift-3 or Command-Shift-4) of your Java Preferences window and post it here. Also put up the results of typing \"java -version\" in Terminal.

ok so on a whim i reinstalled OS X and the updater started working for a while it got about 5% done and then we went back to the old - seconds remaining problem

Yes, that\'s why I said, \"Note on the Java Updater: At this time the Zip Entries option is untested. It may not work very well (or at all). In addition, it will disrupt your download timer/download speed values. Use at your own risk. ;)  \"

In other words, don\'t use it unless you have nothing better to do. ;)

ok now i see what i did wrong i thought the selection was before the option not after it.  (not thinking) yea its in the process now and its working

ok so the updater finally worked but im still not connecting to the server or running pssetup.app or psupdater.app.  i think im missing something but i cant figure whta it is.   im getting the \"fail 100\" message and i can ping laanx.fragnetics.com, in terminal \"ping -c 5 laanx.fragnetics.com\"

First, make sure you have the latest Updater.jar (i.e. go download it again ;) ). Then run the updater again to make sure there\'s nothing else to update (make sure it connects to mirror 2 or mirror 3! Also make sure you check Update All Files). If it still doesn\'t work, post a Console log here (see the sticky at the top of the forum).
