Account invalid
« on: December 26, 2005, 04:33:31 pm »
I\'m lost :
when starting up the game, I get asked to sellect a server (Wigle or Maya or something, (bad graphics...)
after connecting, have to give account and password.
The account field only allows me to enter 10 chars (therefor only part of my emailaddress is visible). I enter the emailaddress which I used to register (yes , I validated my account), I enter password and all I get is \"Account Invalid\")

Must be something simple, but please help......

kind regards

thanks for reply.

but I did use my emailadres as used for Registration, as I mentioned in my question.

(at that time I didn\'t even have a forum acount)

so again : \"The account field only allows me to enter 10 chars (therefor only part of my emailaddress is visible). I enter the emailaddress which I used to register (yes , I validated my account, and yes, I think I type them without errors, I backspaced the field completely empty before typing, ) I enter password and all I get is \"Account Invalid\" ....

PlaneShift runs really smoothly for me at a resolution of 1280x960:32, and I only have an AMD Duron 800, and a GeForce2 GTS with 32 MB.

Make sure that you are using drivers which support OpenGL correctly with full 3D acceleration. A good benchmark to check this quickly is \"Tirtanium\". Especially Windows XP can be a little tricky to make it support OpenGL; if you don\'t have IDC drivers for your GPU, a Software OpenGL renderer might be used instead on your system - then you should not be surprised about slowdowns.

And furthermore: There is a major problem with some \"stop and go\" movement (the game seems to load too much same data over and over, as soon as players or NPCs come into sense range). This is not related to CPU or GPU, but more on harddisk transfer rate.

I think the speed depends on the internet connection!

Planeshift actually does not depend on your connection, as long as you do not have high packet loss, and more then 10kps, you should be fine.

It is normal that you can only see part of your account name, but you should still be able to put the full name in.
