Art specific website

Is there going to be a website specifically for planeshift art? There could be gallerys for everyones artwork and links to personal websites etc. Could be a pretty cool idea

This has been proposed before - if anyone is willing to make one, all the power to them. It would have to be community run, however, at this point. If PlaneShift ever has an official fan art gallery on its website, I'd like for a way to weed out the very best of work.

I can't judge art fairly xD I'm ridiculously picky, so it's a -very- good thing that I don't manage any of our 2D prospects, for example. If I were a judge, I wouldn't have let myself onto the team back then :P

There are people who understand such things better, like ArcaneFalcon who has been running our unofficial contests, etc.

It isn't specifically for Planeshift art, but you can post your art in the ps-mc.com forums.

Puh!  Just because I pretend to understand something doesn't mean I actually do. :P

In all seriousness, however, something could be set up like the CG Choice Gallery on cgtalk (www.cgtalk.com).  They have a general forum for finished work where anyone can post, and the editors/moderators from time to time will post the very best work in their CG Choice Gallery.  Something like this could be set up, and I wouldn't mind being a part of it, but I would need some better people to help (to make me look good basically).

I have been planning on making something like this (more part of a "grand unified community site" for a while, but haven't had time. I'll be working on setting up forums for such a thing over the course of the next few soons (eg, all day tomorrow.. but then I leave town for a week :\ no internet access *twitch*)

In the meantime I've set up some random ajax chat script at http://tavern.ps-mc.com. That's where ("soon") there will be a site including what you describe and more ^^
